FUCK. This fight is currently pissing me off. Here's why:
Anthony Mundine is a gimp. An arrogant, boorish gimp. He has unshakeable belief that he is Black Jesus and that you should spend your life in awe of his mad phat skillz. A great athlete but a polished shit of a human being. His last fight against Kessler should be an instruction to anyone on how good boxing is a sport that frequently produces its champions through the application of technique, not this modern 'power punching' shit. But still, Mundine looked great. He seems to be doing that more and more in the past few years.
Danny Green is so fucking Australian he makes my nose run. He's one of those people who consistently appears to be a decent human being for a reason - he is one. He's built out of tungsten carbide, and hits hard. Probably he plays to these strengths too much, and needs to be better trained.
And the result? It pains me to say it, but Mundine looks better. As much as I'd like to see him crippled into interesting positions, he's fucking quick, and an excellent athlete, and when his opponent isn't a well-trained European ninja he'll look a lot better than he otherwise would.
Fuck, I must be high - Mundine by decision.

As much as I hate 'the man', I think Mundine will win. He talks himself up a lot, and some of it is truth. He is more agile than Green. In boxing agility is more important than strength imo. I don't know much about about boxing. I like watching fights but it's a tad too organized for my liking.
However, Green will take a fucking lot to get down.
Definantly watching this fight.
Actually i'd like to see Mundine get the absolute fuck smashed out of him. Hmm I hope Green wins.
Mundine should've stuck to rugby.

As far as I can tell, everybody wants Mundine to lose because he's an uppity nigger and not Muhammad Ali.
Not being particularly familiar with either fighter, I can't make any kind of prediction. Based on sites Jim fed me last night, I also like Green more. But boxing is as much a popularity contest as calculus.

last boxing match i watched was about a year or two ago. oscar de la hoya vs some german tomato can. tomato can dominated 10 rounds and coasted the rest to a losing decision. i vowed never watch las vegas based boxing again.
this fight seems cool tho, i dont know the fighters so i cant really comment on who would win.
the shit talking guy doesnt seem that bad. some fighters need a sense of animosity towards the opponent to prepare. pre fight shit talk is nothing new. playing the "bad guy" hypes the show. paying customers came there to hurl trash a beer at the dude.
