I may join in if if seems likely that there wont be many competitors cuz there's not gonna be much point in a competition of like 2 people or something.

You can Import it with GP5 then Export to Midi.. (*IF* you have GP5..) If you don't .. I don't know how..
Anyways here's the song I'll be using (the recorded version is on my MySpace)

Same for me.. except it's the opposite.. I never got into PT.. I always thought GP was simpler and faster.. Can someone explain what are the "advantages" of using Powertab??

There isnt one man. I swear to god the two programs are so similar its not worth bothering arguing that ones greater etc.
They all work the same way, midi outputs controlled by putting in tab. GP has the RSE but that in itself isnt an advantage :P
The only real, major difference, imo, is the fact that GP will clearly show if you are over, or under, in your time sig. Power tab wont, but you can just copy and paste all your staff, and itll then add in bars. Some people say PT has neater export to text, but you can always export to HTML I think, in both.
The theoretical advantage of PTB, though, despite what I said, is that it can be used (now) by users who have PT, and GP. GP files can only be used by those with GP, not PT users.

Powertab has a cunty layout on the screen I find. I'm not sure if you can change it, but in GP the multitrack horizontal view is easy to read. I have no need for PT now GP5 can read PT files.
I have a song almost done, got drums to write and ill post it maybe tomorrow.

But you can do drums in GP, and you have all the other midi sounds at your disposal - like the glockenspiel, that thing's brutal.

I'll do it, but first I'll PM OpethFan if he still want's to compete. And thesadpartofthestory: Try to export your song to midi. It's more fun if we have a lot competitors.

Try and get a disc off someone you know.
It'll have all the passwords and stuff on the disc.

www.piratebay.org
It's a bit torrent site, so you will need some kind of program like azureus or bit tornado (kazaa etc. but kazaa is crap)
they usually come with a key in a txt document, or a key generator program
