Awesome vocal removing program!
this is not spam in any way.. im just sharing what i found today
i dont know where this thread belonged so i posted it here.. move it if you want..
i downloaded a program called Karaoke Anything and unlike all other vocal removing programs.. it works.. pretty well too .. and it's free!

Hmmmm...sounds too good to be true. Can't decide whether or not to risk downloading it. But I guess if it works for you and a bunch of little snotty virus gnomes haven't attacked your comp, then why not. I just don't see how it could remove the vocals from a song -- you know, as a computer program and not a human being, how it could distinguish the voice from all other instruments and sounds. Intriguing nonetheless.

try it.. i tested it with 4 songs and in 3 of the 4 songs i couldnt here vocals (but in the one that did have vocals.. i heard them really clearly..) so i guess it depnds whic song or how the vocals were recorded..
(it works perfectly for 11th hour by Lamb of God..)

Vocal removing is primarily done by addition and subtraction of the stereo channels.... Vocals are largely panned centrally, while instruments such as guitars are panned left and right, similarly with drums. So if you subtract the left channel from the right, you end up with just the differences between the two (guitars etc.). So if you then take that away from the original two channels, you invert what you have, so you now take all bits that are the same (things that are panned equally left and right- vocals) away, leaving you with just the music 
Point to note: you can never get it perfect without having the original vocal tracks, but for most people they can suffice with the odd bit of vocal thats still there, and maybe some drums/keyboards being lost.
