Heh I am just going for Slayer alone. I've seen Lamb of God and they put on a good show, the vocalist was going crazy when I saw them. I saw Bodom once too... they sucked though. Hopefully they perform better this time. Slayer though.. holy crap... it was a religious experience when I saw them last. Or satanic as the case may be

Haha yeah if I was playing for 200 people in a dilapidated building after doing a festival for 15,000 people, I wouldn't have been thriller either

Well,

I was at the Toronto show last night. I got there late and saw most of the Lamb of God set and of course, Slayer.

It was old school all night except a couple of the newer ones.
Opener:
South of heaven
silent scream
playlist: what i can remember (no order here)
hell awaits, war ensemble, blood red, dead skin mask, antichrist, chemical warfare, reign in blood, angel of death, seasons, cult.

Their good live. Really loud.

It is so worth it to see Slayer, Menno. SO worth it. You would be doing yourself a favor by going.

I'm not one of those types that pretends Lamb of God can't riff it the fuck out, I dig them. Other than them and Slayer, the tour is a waste. I saw them in San Antonio on 23 June and good Lord did the show suck.

I hate to say this too but...recovering Tom Araya = boring as a motherfuck. Should've delayed the tour a bit longer because he is literally taking entire verses off of songs, and he'll walk around like he doesn't know where the fuck he is.

What is Tom recovering from?

This is how he ended the Toronto show.

"It that a skunk?

It smells like molson golden.

Goodnight."

and then he walked off the stage and it was over.

Did anyone else see the Toronto show?

anyone going to any of the UK dates? i'm going to the Cardiff one.

the UK (and European i think) line up is:

Slayer
Lamb of God
In Flames
Children of Bodom
Thine Eyes Bleed

I would have preferred Mastodon instead of In Flames but oh well.

I got back from Cardiff today (early this morning) and i woke up with a stiff neck, sore throat and other aches and pains, which is usually a good sign.

I was impressed especially by Thine Eyes Bleed whos performance I really enjoyed.

In Flames were missing a guitarist who 'had to go home to take care of some shit' appparently, so they had a stand in guitarist from a band i cant remember who they said it was. Although they were good, in my opinion they were the worst there, thats not saying they were bad at all. Also Anders said something along the lines of the Welsh kicki more ass than the English or something, however I doubt even half the audience were Welsh as this stop on the tour is basically for the whole south-west of the UK.

CoB and Lamb of God were excellent, Lamb of Gods set didnt seem to last that long (a couple songs off their latest album Sacrament, and a few others, they opened with Ruin.)

Slayer played a few from Christ Illusion, but quite a bit of the classics (Raining Blood, Angel of Death, War Ensemble, Seasons in the Abyss, South of Heaven, Dead Skin Mask) tbh I would be pretty pissed off if they hadn't played the classics.

For me there was no bad things about this concert, apart from maybe my friend splitting some guys eyebrow and getting blood on his shirt

fucking A, lamb of cock is playing.

the only good thing there is Slayer. Mastodon has some cool songs but most songs bore the shit outta me. They should listen more Obituary or something.

yea i noticed he didnt scream for angel of death as well as other omissions, but tbh they have been doin this for 20 years, i wasn't expecting him to be jumping around screaming his heart out.
