I believe I can speak for most of the people here when I say that it is incredibly annoying to read “txt speech” and horrible grammar usage in posts. I mean, is it really that hard to type out the words “one”, “some”, “anyone”, etc? I know I am not a grammar expert but at least I can write in complete sentences without a grammatical error every three words.

Here’s some basic grammar rules:

-Use conjunctions to connect separate independent clauses, along with the use of a comma in general cases
-Use conjuctions to connect an independent clause with a dependent clause
-You can also use a semicolon between two independent clauses in place of using a conjunction
-Use a colon (in some cases a semicolon) before you list things
-Please end all complete sentences with a period. Its not that hard to do.
-It is not a complete sentence if it doesn’t have:

-A subject
-A verb
-An object

If you are at all confused about the correct usage of the English language, feel free to PM me. I will gladly help (if I can) in order to avoid all these eyesore posts that are being posted. Bad grammer = Flaming so I figured we can stop both with a thread like this. Feel free to add more English language rules.

Some more suggestions:
Unless you are mentally retarded, incapacitated, intoxicated, or otherwise messed up, you have no excuse for not capitalizing the word "I" along with other proper nouns. Well, I guess you can write "i" if you are in an extreme hurry.

As long as it is in the format of a sentence, I think it suffices for being a sentence (one these forums of course, I wouldn't try to write improperly on an essay)

Nobody's going to get flamed or suspended for writing incomplete sentences. Nobody here even picks up on regular poor spelling or grammar unless it suits him to be a prick about that at the time. Even then it's only spelling that gets noticed, unless the grammar is bad enough to make the post totally incoherent. So don't worry too much about it.

i'll take this chance to say that it's "sequel", not "sequal". so many people get this wrong (not here, but on other forums).

"Its not that hard to do." This sentence should begin with "It's" or "It is".

You wrote "grammer" at one point.

That might be it, I didn't scan too heavily. I suggest you practice what you preach. I also suggest to everyone to learn the goddamned difference between "your" and "you're", and "they're", "their", and "there". Such mistakes are perplexing.

Those, persistent, mistakes baffle the shit out of me.

I thought that this might happen. I can go through and criticize all of the posts here, especially those that supposedly correct other people, but I'll leave it at this: you all make mistakes. You make them systematically, as though you don't know the rule you're breaking. If you want to police grammar anywhere in this world, then please do me the favor of correcting your mistakes first. This means that you have to learn every rule, not just a few more than some other internet cunt. If you can't do that, then please do me the favor of shutting the fuck up.
