Thoughts? Feelings?

I hate watching these things, its takes for-fucking-ever to get to the points between all of the clapping and crappy poetic ego boosters. I don't know how permanent tax cuts, along with those several research/spy programs and the Social Security issue about to come up, are going to work along with the HUGE national debt we have now (which, If I'm not mistaken, wasn't addressed). Anywho, the one thing I wanted to see a subject (the debt) wasn't discussed, and the educational progress was brief.

It wasn't very direct, or at least not to me our the like minded audience which it probably should have been due to his poll drops.

Tim Kaine did a good job on the rebuttal, but he didn't get into detail - not that you can in a small 20-20 minutes. I thought the Mayor of L.A. was going to do it?

well your right to a point , I say that because Bush is a lame duck president who has been weakened ,It will be very hard to get his programs through. Believe or not I lean repubic but they are pissing me off too.

we are in a war time economy, keep this all in mind when bush pats himself on the back about new jobs and pay raises passing inflation, we are getting by on the fact that a large amount of heads are deployed elsewhere, this war is an economy unto itself,the logistics is literally billions each week. i heard some radio analyst say that withdrawal is looking good, maybe 12 to 18 months ahead, i think its a crock of shit, the insurgency has financial backing, its lasted this long, they have wealthy benefactors<people from all over the entire middle east, probably the world, from my point of view> and its not on the wane, our VP said this a year ago<that terrorism is on the wane>, total bullshit.

bush's speech.platitudes,congecture, banalities. the war is gonna outlive his presidency. we dont have the clout to fuck with north korea, cant possibly invade iran without forcing hundreds of thousands of citizens to do so. the presidents credibility is as overextended as our military is. iraq will be a poor IMF debtor nation that will need a permenant US presence in some form, bases and ports. we may be lucky enough to see a oligarchic "puppet"ocracy, sharia law, religious clerics sitting over judgement over the people. civil war is inevitable, less US troops are dying cause the the violence is becoming more sectarian, its mind numbing to glance past each daily news report of 30 dead, 100 dead, 500 killed in a stampede every day years on end.

That state of the union address sickened me. Bush never burys off in the topics. It's like he's telling everyone what they want to hear so they'll get off his case about it. I hate his shit eating smirk he has too. Seems like those sensitive topics about war with Iraq and casualities, he's trying as hard as he can to keep from smiling or busting out laughing.
