Well, some people on metal-torrents forum were discussing The Absense so I thought I'd post the link.

Shred is nice for a little while, but after a while it becomes rather pointless and boring. If I could shred I would use the ability wisely. There's a time and place for everything, and shredding can be awesome if used at the right time properly.

They don't sound like Arch Enemy at all. They are much better. As for Arch Enemy, lets just say they've gone way downhill. Their older stuff was decent, and Michael Amott is a pretty decent guitarist, so I still like some of their stuff, but the new stuff is just pure anus.

Actually, some musicians do take what people post on forums seriously. Like the members of Children of Bodom have stated it annoys them when people criticize their direction musically that they are taking, and the dudes from Nile are pretty sensitive as well. Michael Amott has been known to lurk around certain Arch Enemy forums as well. Hmm....maybe we can make the slipknot and korn guitarists kill themselves.

Ive been jamming The Absence's debut CD for months now. Every one of my band members owns a legal copy of "From Your Grave" and we have been spreading the word about The Absence to try to get these guys up here to Maryland.
Im still waiting for a Seven Demons tab.

I listened to the tracks on myspace. Not the sort of metal I myself have come to prefere, but it is good, no question.
And honestly, if anything you could possibly do on this forum could cause the suicide of Korn's and Slipknot's guitarists...
