the crate will probably have the most distortion, if you want plenty of that.
the crate is a good amp, perfect for the metal side of your tastes, but the cleans are probably not as good as the others. What it comes down to is, what will you want more, distortion, or good cleans?

they have a classifieds section on harmonycentral.com i use it for most of my buying and selling. but if you don't trust ebay then i don't see how you could trust any online form of purchasing used gear.

but you're going to need to learn to trust places like ebay if you want good deals on gear. because they're all over ebay. you just can't be a dumbass, check feedback, and pay with paypal Not with money orders.

otherwise you get to be the dumbass that always forks out for a new 6505 so you can sell it for half price later on.

those are probably the cheapest.

Did you know that you can use bank transfers to add paypal credit? well, at least in holland thats how everybody does it. Just make a paypal account and and check for the "add funds" tab when you are logged in.

oh, and if your 'rents still complain, mention your gonna get ripped off for more than $50 if you buy an amp new..

Musicgoround.com.

They deal in mainly used stuff and they got great prices on a lot of it. They have a bunch of stores around the US as well and there is a search feature that covers all the stores. So, if there is an item you found in the search, it'll give you the store's address, phone number, and email address so you can ask them questions before you make your decision. Definately a good alternative to eBay. I've dealt with them before and they were great. Got my guitar in just under a week after I ordered it.
