I've posetd about 100 times about how crappy the Xbox is and how many people (including myself) have had broken ones. I don't expect microsoft to ever compare to quality as something such as nintendo just because they're not in buisness for producing games. Hence why xbox only produces 1 or 2 must have games and the rest are ports or games much better on the computer..

touche. I'll agree with you there. I have Wii, and it hasn't had nearly as many problems as my 360 did or even the regular xbox did when I got it. Of course I've only had Wii for a couple weeks I think. But so far so good. I'm probably one of the biggest nerds here when it comes to nintendo. I still go oldskool and whip out the old nes or snes at times. nothing compares to the good ole days.

But Gears of War is totally worth it if you are damned to Xbox 360 at the moment.<3 Totally a must have.

I'll agree with you here. Plus... It was so easy to beat... Well, I guess it's my opinion...... AND the fact that I skipped school and played it all day, the second day I had it home. Since then I've beat it 6 times... 3 of which were insanity mode... Oh and I've unlocked several acheivements. Sometimes my boyfriend gets jealous. haha. I do loves me some Gears. Actually we rival the game, my boyfriend and I... along with Halo... and he's much better than I.

I always enjoyed the Playstation more than the XBox. XBox has it's glory with Halo and I love Project Gotham Racing. Playstation is always going to be my favorite. Plus, they introduced probably my favorite video game franchise of all-time with the Twisted Metal series. Awesome game.

The only Zelda games I didn't enjoy was Majora's mask.

I never played it but it didn't seem to intrest me. I think the Zeda 64 game is highly over rated. Its the EXACT same fucking game as Zelda for snes but its in 3d. Like seriously. There is only slight tweaks in the story line and thats it. But almost every single thing is exactly the same. But it appears that nearly every zelda game is literally a rehash of the same thing. I guess it has its ups and downs but it appears zelda is an rpg for people who don't throughly enjoy rpgs. But thats completely an observational opinion.

i haven't played all the new ones..but link to the past for snes is still one of my favorite all time games. i have that shit on my computer and still play it from time to time....hmm i should burn a copy and take it to work!

For now, definitely stick with the Zelda game, as I've heard nothing but awful things about Red Steel. Besides, within a year when the games get better there are bound to be a ton of sword slashing games for the Wii. The control system is just way too perfect for this not to occur. Shit, look at the 360 which is just now getting it's shit together and releasing some cool games.

They do mod chips for the cube now? What are the pirate games like, are they on mini DVDs nowadays or? Last time I had one you had to stream games from PC to GCN. Oh man, how fucking dull was that. and 1.4gb roms werent any fun. The fun I had renting games, spending an hour ripping them, saving them on my PC and playing them back once and then realising this sucked ass.

GCN games are cheap enough now, Im sure? Make sure you get Beyond Good and Evil. Totally under rated. Edit : Good fucking deal though. Cubes are fun as hell, despite what people say.

Basically your plane crashes and you discover a decayed underwater civilisation, which was composed of scientists, artists and the like, and they've turned into mutants due to some drug. (weeks ago i stopped playing it) But i was like damn i'm already 40 hours into it so its going to end soon and i don't want it to cause its a bad ass game. EDIT: im not even done. this game is beautiful. the tricks, traps and treasures are everything i dream of in a Zelda game. and there is this sense of accomplishment EVERY FUCKING time you overcome the obstacles placed in front of you, nearly every other minute.

I dunno if its THAT amazing. Its pretty decient i'll give it that. I'm onl like 7 hours into it i think.

Like i said before zelda controls in my opinion for 3d games is just absolutely horrible and this game is just another testimate to these controls. I don't not like being able to turn the camera other than running in circles. Creates annoyances with fighting things on both sides of you or keeping track of a boss you're running away from.

Graphic wise i think the game is pretty decient. I definately like the colorful graphics in it.

It definately appears like a long game thats for sure, which is good.

hmm, personally, i think you are looking at it totally wrong. or maybe its just a different view than me. i mean, i cant even descibe to you what this game has meant to me, throughout my life. with the SNES one is when i really fell in love. and now, its only grown since the evolution of the game world. someone who has just now come to play zelda, for the first time, will probably not share the same enthusiasm as one like myself.

Well although that could be true, thats not my case for sure. Sorry to bust your ballz there killer but i've been playing zelda since it came out haha. I had the original game on nes, including the 2nd one too. Theres almost too much about the zelda series that is rehashed stuff over and over again. Like i pointed out earlier the snes game and zelda 64 are almost the exact same games except for slight variations and new graphics.

I guess its their desire to make eacha nd every zelda experience similar and familar, that or they're attempting to over bank off of successes in the past. (which is always a possiblity) But i've played way too many rpgs to take zelda nearly as serious as so many other people do. But like i said i think zelda games are kind of a port into rpgs. Its the rpg for people who do not like rpgs (in many cases). The games are not very complex in nature, gameplay, graphics, nor story which makes it easy for those who aren't deeply inlove with complex games (rpgs) to like.

In saying that, thats cool that you have found a game series that you can feel "as deeply for" as this one, but comparing my tastes in games and what i look for i just don't have nearly the same passion you do for it. I like the final fantasy series because they basically reinvent what an rpg is every single time they put out a game. Whether the new systems are absolutely great or not they're still pushing the envelope in creativity and usage. Its fresh and its exciting every time you play a new release and you're getting a totally and completely new package and not the same one with slightly better graphics, exact same controls, similar story lines, (go to this temple, now this temple, in similar orders) and all the things that are too familiar with zelda games.

So yea. haha. Go zelda!

Battlefield 2142 anyone? My brother got it for xmas and it looks pretty cool so i'm downloading it.

I got fairly far into morrowind for pc. I beat basically all the Mournhold quests but i never did get to the other place. That ice island. I got really far and basically gave up. After i completely destroyed Oblivion i went back and tried morrowind and just couldn't force myself to play it. Graphics aren't remotely up to par, nor was the speed of the character standable to me. (running was so freaking slow.)

Resident Evil 4 fits your description pretty good, you shoot zombies and it has a bit horror in it. Gamespot gave it more than 90 points i believe.

also, jamf, try something from the prince of persia series, maybe, especially the most recent installments. you don't shoot anyone but you do slice some jugulars open. and maybe killzone, but i haven't played it in a while and i don't remember it too well..not one of the best shooters i've played, and i can't recall if it's very brutal or not...hm okay, just stick with re4. hahaha.

Take the number of people with modded Xbox's who would take the time and effort to mess with their files just to play an hour of two of extra content - even smaller

Thus, it is a huge waste of time for Team Gizka to release a mod for the Xbox version. I don't know why anyone would ever even consider releasing game mods for modded Xbox's, and it's such a fucking waste of time/effort, it probably has never been done.

But then I'd have to spend an extra 20 dollars on the PC version.


Obsidian should re-release KOTOR II as like a special edition with all the missing content put back in it, and all the bugs fixed.

so i beat gears of war a while back, grrreat graphics, nice controls, i like how it flows. looks more realistic without all the gauges onscreen, but i like how they work when you need them. i had to do a couple spots over a few times, but the only really hard part of the game is the final boss. well, i was playing on casual so that could possibly explain it. the splitscreen option is great fun, but i hardly ever have anyone to play with. :< it's one of my favourite shooters now, though.

also beat resistance: fall of man. seemed like the same old army lookin'-ass shooter, but as it progressed i found it had more depth. it makes the storyline more apparent than a lot of games in this genre, giving a what's-happening-now type thing in between sections and showing maps and stuff. gets kind of halo-ish in a couple places and towards the end, once you get into some of the chimeran establishments. i really liked it.

and now i think i have to start a new game of zelda because i can't stand link's absence any longer!!1!
