Well, I'm more a "what's in the head" type person, but I like to see something between head and shoulders besides stump. Stumpy necks make a person look like they have squatty body no matter what size they are.

The reason I gonna start work out my neck more is to be able to last 40-50 minutes on stage. And not have pain the day after allt he time. And of course, it looks cooler with a fat neck.

Well, if you're planning on doing that much head banging then yeah, you should do something so you don't injure yourself.
What's the chances of damage to the spine and brain though? Wouldn't that be like the adult equivalent of shaken baby syndrome? It's undue shock to the body. Obviously it's not a normal/typical human movement.

What I´ve heard headbanging isn´t that dangerous for the brain. Of course it depends on how much and how You do it. But the fluids around the brain prevent the brain from getting injured. I mean.. Kerry King´s been doing it for over 10 years without getting fucked up.
I don´t do that much headbanging, that´s why I need to work out my neck at the gym. So the few times we got gigs I can last the entire show.

Of course, if You headbang really intense and hard Your brain´s gonna get hurt. But I use the same "technique" as Kerry King with kinda small, but fast small movements. Than the fluids will help Your brain from getting fucked up. The brain is moving back and forth without hitting the skullbone that hard. See my point?

Yeah, and it's probably somewhat anchored besides the fluid anyways. I'm not that up on the anatomy of the brain. I guess it would be sort of like getting jerked around on a carnival ride as far as whiplash and head movement. I think I think about those things more since I have so many back, neck, and head problems.

I´m sick and tired of getting injured. My back and right shoulder were fucked fore a few years. I don´t wanna end up with a neck problem due to me playing metal again. The older You get the more important it is to take care of Your self.
I was playing a sport called inside bandy today and hurt my right leg due to lack of warm up...

I was wondering if that was for those mooses that pull trucks and stuff. I wish it would stay warm for awhile because I really feel the need to use the machine out there. I can lift 45 pounds with no problem, but when it's a dog that's moving and I have to carry her up and down the stairs it's really made one side of my neck super stiff, one side of my head hurts bad, and my lower back burns. I can feel my hip bones burning. She's been more co-operative the past couple days and we've got a system, but lifting her when she falls if she's walking and other things I've had to do for her has beaten my body up. I have to stay strong for her.
And I'm going to get all flustered about it so I'll shut up.

Ironmind ship worldwide, I have some of their stuff and I'm Australian. I'd have to see the other harness to tell you. And definitely, absolutely and certainly Samuelsson would use a harness, as would all other Swedish strongmen (of which there are several).

There's some Voodoo guy that goes to all the football games over here and wears face paint and stuff like that. There's a bunch that usually tries to emulate him, too. When I saw them on tv all I could think of was that they looked like a bunch of metalheads going to a concert. The shoulder spikey things, face paint, and all that stuff. I don't remember which team it was for though. The one for the NO Saints I'm finding links to obviously isn't the same guy since the guy I'm talking about is black and this guy isn't.
