I would pick:milan 89'-90',ajax 95',juventus 96',ajax 71'-73'.

Why no British teams?
That's hardly the best list either. What about the all conquering Bayern Munich side that ruled Europe from 1974-76? What about the Milan side of the mid-1990's?

I'll choose three as I don't believe that the other options are of suitable standard to be considered the best. Anyway, my choices are:
Real Madrid, 1956-60
Ajax, 1971-73
Real Madrid, 2002
My other 'non-British' selection would be the Bayern Munich team of 1974-76.
I find it strange that British sides have been omitted. Surely the Liverpool sides ot 1977-78 and 1981-84 would grace anybody's list. Even M********r U****d would be on there somewhere and even though they did not win the European Cup, the Arsenal side of two years ago were absolutley breathtaking to watch.

I'll never forget how they beat porto and won everything there was, great players like litmanen, davids, etc. Kluivert was in his best days then, scoring lots of goals. Kluivert is still our national team's top scorer! he's not even in the selection these days... sad. but he's made his re-entry for valencia this week, playing very good. Van Basten can't go around him if he reaches the same level as 10 years ago. (but I believe he'll never reach that level..)
Ajax is just a shadow of itself these days, they haven't been doing anything good in the last two years. loads of problems with the management and shit. good players dissapearing etc. (Ibrahimovic, Mido, etc!)
ofcourse the old Ajax under Michels was great but far before my time, I have more of a bond with ajax from ten years ago, when I was a kid I loved watching them, that got me into soccer.
my second vote goes to BARCELONA 1992(OF CRYUFF) can't get around it, Cruyff won everything as a player AND a coach. best dutch soccer player, only one that comes close to Johan 'el salvatore' Cryuff is Marco 'goalo' van Basten 
Marco left an impression in Milan, while I was watching Milan vs PSV recently i saw a banner with 'Marco - Uno' behind Psv's goal. for all the dutch viewers to see. |

I think the poll should have the teams in general not so specific.
Is there anyone here who saw Real Madrid with Di Stefano or
Benfica with Eusebio?That's really old stuff.

Barcelona 1992(never actually saw them but I had to vote for Barcelona)
Real Madrid 1956-60(never saw them either but I know they won many
competitions)

edit: and i find amazing how FC Porto of 2002/2004 is not mentioned. shit, that team ruled.
