Maze of Torment playing Slayer cover live
My band, Maze of Torment, did a festival here in Sweden late summer, Gates of Metal and we just uploaded Post Mortem and Raining Blood at our website.

Well.. Yes. Iīm the new guitarist of Maze Of Torment, Rickard Dahlin. Peter Flesh left the band a year ago and I joined instead. But Iīm WAY better!  LOL! Anyways, we gonna record our 6th album this winter. You better look out for it īcause itīs gonna crash everything Maze ever done before. You got my word!

Next albumīs gonna be so much better. And faster and heavier. I promise! But Hammers is the best Maze have done so far. I think they improved alot since day one. And we this line upīs gonna take it a bit futher... Too bad we donīt play live that often. 3 gis after the realease of Hammers Of Mayhem march this year. We would like to play in Germany and the U.S with some bigger band but we donīt know any other bands. If anyone here got a band with a record deal and wants an opening act that play thrash metal, please let us know. Weīre dying to play live and our booking agency donīt do shit!

My fellow band members are great! The other guitarist, Mange, been my friend for over 10 years and we always have a blast drinking, hanging around or what ever we do. Heīs great! Cloffe, the bassist, we did go to the same kindergarden when we here like 2-3. Heīs one crazy mutherfokker!
Erik and Kjelle share the same vision about the band as I do so itīs really easy to work with them. They really like what we do and they give 110% all the time! Iīm glad Iīm in this band. Hope You guys gonna like what we do in the future... We ainīt gonna follow any trends or give into what ever the record company wants us to do if they ever want us to change.

So I finally checked the raining blood vid, and it was fucking awesome, I liked the lead thingy at the end, sounded better than the original version actually Anyway, cool to see more scandinavians joining here  |

It just went nuts on the strings in the end. Inspired by Kerry King I did that tapping with the pick on the fretboard kinda thing. That sounds pretty cool IMO.

Iīm just like You guys, a dude that likes metal. Iīm just fortunate to play in a band with a record deal. I started out in a demo band when I was 16, and no 10 years later, I do this instaed. But Iīm still the same old dude. Just older, bigger and Iīve lost my long hair...

Iīm not really bald. I got hair but itīs not that long... But I was into pushing weights a few years ago and it was hell doing that with long hair. I didnīt play any metal back than, I left the metal scen back in 98 so I decided to get rid of. (Ok I gonna be honest, I didnīt get laid! )

What american bands do you listen to mostly? You like death, right?
EDIT:just looking through your band's picture section man....ha, you and the drummer are definately the coolest looking guys....so fucking metal.

But I meant in generall, in Sweden we usully listen to american music. Thatīs why most of us is used to american accent, and not the brittish
The drummer, Kjelle, is really metal! He is oldskool! And the oldest one in the band 32.
The funny think about him is that he got 2 kids 2 and 5. Wife, house, good job, a dog (Lassie) and drives a Volvo. He had a Porsche-73 or 74 but he sold it to buy a mixing table so we can record our record by our selfs.

Umm, if it was Ice Cube and he was saying --pushing weights since 10th grade--the first thing that comes into my mind is weights as in kilos, ounces, grams, and those kinds of weights. Pushing meaning pushing dope? Nothing to do with lifting, but I don't know the rest of what he was saying so I don't know for sure. Maybe I'm just being stereotypical about him since he's a rapper that I don't know much about, but that's what I thought of.

I've got a good friend who's Swedish that I've been helping with grammar in his lyrics for about 4 years now. He does a lot better than he used to, but once in awhile I still catch things. Sometimes he does when I don't and that's even better that he can recognize them.

Yeah, I'd prefer "screwed" or "bullshit." I insulted someone saying a typical American thing to a Brit once. He told me why it was an insult and I explained it. It was fine after that. I had someone ask me why some say 'aks' instead of 'ask' and that's just a dialect thing to me.
Here in northern Ohio there isn't really much accent, but some things some of us say different than others. Crik for creek and root for route.

I think I have to agree. No problem playing metal (what ever kind) but Your kids donīt need to be part of it. We actually did a gig when his hole family came and saw us, wife, kids, parents, dog. His kids really enjoyed the show...
