I just quit my metal band and joined an alt-rock band
Because the metal one insisted we used a drum machine over a real drummer, and I dont have to sit around while they program beats that will never have spontaneity.
My area sucks for drummers/bassists in the metal vein
The alt-rock one is more fun because of this.

This sounds like an episode of ATHF. You guys are like a bad cartoon.
Threadstarterman!!!! If the need arises and you want to find new bandmates or replacements I helped a friend find a new player when one of the guys in his band decided to leave it. We also found other bands that he was interested in playing in. I knew where he lived so I just either googled or askjeeves-ed for bass players in the xx area. It brought up a list of free websites where locals there posted their talents and ways to contact them. Just be cautious as with anyone on the net, but that might have gotten you a drummer for your old band.

Well, you must remember that back in the day when a lot of that stuff was written opiates were still used for simple pain mainagement, cocaine wasn't has harshly critized, and alcohol was a pain killer, too.
I often wondered if the reason Poe's stuff went from semi okay mentally to way out was the trip he was on and he just wrote it. I bet powers' would know that. He likes Poe a lot.

We had a kid at the Home once that tested positive for TB. You talk about a bunch of cautious people at work. He wasn't there for long. I think he was a transition kid.

TB is making a comeback, its medically treatable now. once you get it and are fully cured they put you on SSI disability for life. i heard this from a man who caught it in vietnam. he told me this as we were sharing a cigarette, scared the shit outta me, he had to reassure me he was totally cured

You got it, girl The Snafu not tb. heehee
The kid wasn't contagious since he'd been on meds a long time, but I guess it was real easy for him to contract other things. He was a teenager. I don't know how he ended up with it. A bunch of us did get tested after that just for our own peace of mind and working there they said it wouldn't hurt if we hadn't had one since we were in school.
