Final Fantasy: Advent Children
So - who saw it? Leaked 2 days ago, fucking amazing movie. Sephiroth is as badass as ever. Try spot his line which is being hailed as one of the greatest movie quotes ever, already. Interesting fact: I used 'sephiroth' as my online handle about 8 years ago.
If you're a FF or an anime fan, you are goddamn crazy if you haven't downloaded it yet.

I'll paste a synopsis:
"Two years after the events in "Final Fantasy VII", a disease called 'Seikon-Shoukougun', or 'Geostigma', is spreading through the planet. This disease is believed to have been caused by the body fighting off foreign material that invaded the body two years earlier, at the end of "Final Fantasy VII". Guilt-ridden and haunted by his past, ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife has decided to live a secluded, solitary life away from his friends while maintaining "Strife's Delivery Service", whose headquarters is located in Tifa Lockheart's bar, the Seventh Heaven. Tifa's bar serves as an orphanage for children stricken with Geostigma. Here, Tifa keeps an eye on Barret's six-year-old daughter, Marlene, while Barret searches the planet for an alternative energy source to the fossil fuel, Mako. One day, Cloud receives a phone call from the former Shinra, Inc. president, Rufus, asking him for protection from a mysterious man named Kadaj. Kadaj, in the meantime, along with his brothers Loz and Yazoo, are searching for their "mother", and seem to believe that Cloud knows where to find her. Meanwhile, Vincent Valentine has been wandering the planet gathering information on Kadaj's scheme, and Cloud and his friends must come together again to fight these new enemies."

pretty cool tough for anyone that loved every bit of VII.

I downloaded a Jananese trailor a couple months back. It seemed really really awesome, it showed a clip of a fight scene were Sephiroth was sword fighting against Cloud with one hand, one more reason Sephiroth is one of the greatest villains ever.
I'm in the middle of downloading The Exorcism of Emily Rose as we speak. Maybe after it finishes I'll get Advent Children or maybe Skeleton Key. The main and only reason I don't really want Advent Children is I'm not a fan of reading subtitles, I had a hard enough time with Hellsing.
Also I'm not a huge fan of anime, but I loved the Final Fantasy series since day one. Plus VII has by far the best storyline of any game (other than the Metal Gear Solid series).

I think I'll pass. I'm sure its great and all, but FF8, FF9, FF10, and FF Tactics all beat out 7 in my book.

Great man, glad you liked it. The summon was Bahamut, if you didn't catch on.
Yeah, the victory theme in Aeris' church was hilarious. I thought it was just a joke, as in Tifa winning the battle. But yeah - ze phone was ringing.

I only tought it was a bit weird when Cloud starts pulling out all these swords out of his bike.. does he have an infinite supply of those or something?
And when he combines multiple swords into one..thats kinda cool, but doesn't realy fit into the game

Not really, but that ringtone thing is something I think shouldn't be expected. I think it will be one of those moments that you don't see coming which makes it fuuny.

Wow, I can't wait to see it. I've been playing FFXI since Nov last year. I'm addicted and can't stop. The graphics on the game are just amazing. If anyone ever wants to start playing then let me know and I can get you a word pass for my server and we can start a Metaltabs group in there.

Advent Children........hmmmm......now don't get me wrong, I love FFVII, and I do consider it to be the greatest game ever, but I have a bad feeling about this.

I know it doesn't look like that in the game. Somewhat updated version, I guess.

I don't remember the name, but I saw the limit break where he slashes th ground and this energy wave flies from it.
I did saw braver too, but it was very subtle...
Did anyone see cross-slash?

I watched it just now, cool film. Sephiroth and Vincent were very cool. I would have liked to see vincent pull out his 'chaos' limit break. The Sephiroth vs cloud fight was great.

What I saw of it was fucking awesome. I almost forgot that it was a computer generated movie at times. And Vincent of the all the playable FF characters I think is the most badass, then comes auron of FFX

Aurons crap...all the X characters were pussies...other than kimahri, he was ok.
VIIs characters were so much better, VIIIs were ok, IX was like bloody disney (not that disneys bad) and X were just not dark enough....

i never played past IX. Story and characters were disney indeed, but the multiple storylines at the same time were kinda cool..

i liked the style they did IX, it was just really fun to play. fighting was way too slow though and it sucked the way you only had certain characters that could use magic...it did have cool towns though. X was a bit like that. VII just felt a more involving storyline, with better characters...

It finally finished! The movie was awesome, it's given me FF fever again. Though i was pissed about the one i downloaded does n't have subtitles! Yeah, it would have been call to see Vincients "chaos" limit.
Sephiroth = best video game character ever.

Where did you download it from?
When i download it it creates a sub folder with the subtitle files, extract them before you extract the film (if you've had to).
And what player are you using?

did anyone else catch cloud doing climhazzard? i think that was his level 2 limit break. and i beat ruby and emerald. i remember ruby was very easy to beat although ppl said he was very hard. all you had to do was do double summon, hades ( freezes ruby) then do knights of the round, and he wouldnt counter with the 9999 damage move

I downloaded it from the site u recommended. It only gave me the one file which is the movie. Im using DivX to run it. Is the file that give u the subs a seperate file?

Yes they are seperate files but they download with the actuall film file (though they have their own folder created for them), all you need to do is extract the subtitle files into the folder with the main film then extract the film.
So, find the folder the film is downloaded to, look for a folder called "subs" and there will be two folders in there called "english" and "jap".
I don't use divx, I use VLC....so I don't know how to go about getting the subtitles on screen in divx.
If that dun't work then I think we've downloaded two different ones.

you have to make sure youve turned rederless (or something like that) on in the options for divx so you can actually run subtitles; then go to file, load subtitles and choose the right file.

Ok, the way i did it was with VLC player
When you do 'open file' you browse for the video file, and there is a subtitle tick box, tick it and browse for the attatched subtitle file (unzip it first)
The file may well work with other video players, but I only know how to do it with VLC.
