Do you guys ever listen to

I was sitting here on my ass playing my ole trusty war axe and I decided to listen to some shit I havent heard in awhile . So I picked up Johnny Winter's first CD .And the shit sounded dam good , especially the opening track "I guess I'll go away", remember this CD was recorded early 70s . 1970 to be exact , Rick Derringer also is on it .Also the original version of Rock and roll hoochie Koo which IMHO is better than Derringer's version which was done later.
Point of all this shit . Do you guys ever listen to the older shit , like Trower , Winter , Humble Pie , Old Cream , old Rush I mean 2112 era , bastile day etc . I know most of you dudes are into the extreme stuff which is cool. I know im older than most of you younguns. Just curious if any of you cats like that type of stuff besides the extreme metal .

Frankenstein!

I listen to all that shit and play along....

Temples Of Syrinx from Rush rules....even more so when extra distortion is added with my jamming along.

Has anyone heard of the 70s prog band Night Sun? They only released one cd called Mournin', pretty obscure stuff but its good.

I also like bands like Camel, YES, and Kansas

heehee Oldies? I never listen to 'em. Cripes, whenever I think of old metal the first thing I think of is "Frankenstein." "Rock and Roll Hottchie Koo" was pretty good, too. I like some Trower and Blackmore stuff.
I'll have to make a list of our cd's, tapes, and albums sometime, but I'll probably fry my pc.

No. I don't believe you. There hasn't ever been other threads about this. Who'd ever think that there's anything worth listening to outside of death metal, anyway?

If I'd gone to a street fair when Bob and I were in Arizona I'd have seen 3 Dog Night. I wished I'd known they were going to be there. My laundry could have waited!

I've got 2 of his albums. He was a wild and crazy guy!!! And a heck of a banjo player, too. Especially with an arrow through his head.
