I heard a report that he was no longer doing Ozfest due to health problems. I also heard that the reason he douses himself with water prior to going onstage is to hide an incontinence problem. That wouldn't surprise me a bit since he abused himself so badly.

Ozzy lost a long time ago, its time for him to call it a quits.
Ever heard him sing? It's more like seeing a dead man mumble a few words
I mean no disrespect to him offcoarse, it is great what he did for metal.
But he is a walking corpse now...

I had always thoght that until I saw him at Ozzfest. I could understand everything he said, even the non singing real words. It was pretty incredible considering how retarded he talks on the Ozbournes and even all the live performances I've seen of Sabbath lately. Who nows though maybe he had an offnight where he could talk. I saw him in Chicago by the way. Anybody else see him at a different OZZfest?

I haven't seen him since 99' but he kicked ass then. I guess I'm actually getting old myself now, but that happens to us all. Bless Ozzy for doing what he has. I know lots can happen to someone in a few years, but he was an inspiration then. Everyone can have a bad night performing once in a while.

If you watch any of the "Live and Loud" videos, he's constantly dumping himself w/ water. There's a funny part in one clip where a fan jumps on stage and he runs over to Ozzy, and Ozzy just turns around w/ a bucket of water, and douses the guy.

...for those yungins -- who have never even heard it... whose image of ozzy is limited to what they have seen on mtv. They really should go back and listen to the early stuff. In fact, just get "we sold our soul for rock n' roll." What they did, and what he did, at that time, in that place, defies logic. They (and he) really did something different. I'm so fucking turned on by it if I was a chick I'd fuck him. The young him that is LOL. Ok, I'm scaring myself here. nuff said.
=========
btw - I saw him in san francisco at the cow palace for the bark at the moon tour with jake e. lee (his "new" guitarist, at the time). And he rocked...but.. the opening act was metallica -- with cliff burton -- on the master of puppets tour. It was.... hmmm. .. 1985...86? .. I think I was sixteen. Anyway, Metallica blew him off the fucking stage with their energy. But if you think about it, when sabbath came out and they were competing with zep, pink floyd, hendrix, the doors, jefferson airplane, and so on.. (yes they came out about 1969) they just were doing something totally different. The ozzman has my eternal respect, as do all of the legendary black sabbath.

The tour with Ozzy and Metallica was in '86 and Ozzy was promoting The Ultimate Sin album. Ozzy thought Metallica were taking the piss because they played Sabbath tunes all the time, it wasn't untill one of the roadies actually told him that they really dug the Sabbath stuff and they weren't being funny buggers!
I saw Ozzy in '84 at the Monsters of Rock festival again with Jake E Lee and he ripped through a storming set. But for me it will always be the Sabbath tunes that rule more than anything

Yep, Pande's back.
That was the first I'd heard about it. My husband told me. He's an Ozzy fan from way back, but he's 50 anyways. I just read something today about what amounted to poser Ozzy fans in high schools wearing the shirts but not having a clue about Oz other than the reality show he did. I haven't listened to him for too terribly many years, but his early stuff was one of the things that sparked metal in this house with the the kids. He's definitely an icon.
Nightmarish commercial? --Ozzy doing a metal commercial for Depends.
We had a bat in the house last night, too. Besides me. Hmm......

ive never seen Ozzy live (though id LOVE too, as im sure every metalhead would) so i cant really judge on his current voice, but i know he writes kick ass tunes (with or without Zakk) so if he writes a new album, il buy it, cause if his voice is REALLY bad, they can just mix it to soundgood, remember? they made Lindsay Lohan a singer, why cant they revive the undead?

That was quite funny if you ask me...
But thats what they have been doin for years, like, since the down to earth album. Which was pretty good.
But the thing is, iommi (for anyone who doesnt know, sabbath guitarist) did alot of shit too, not as much as ozzy, but enough. And he is still making kickass music. At that, he had begun a new band called iommi, and is playing guitar better then ever..ozzy may be able to pick himself up again, i mean, iommi did (if anyone remembers the crap that is ozzfest 2002)

Yes he has prompt screens on stage so he can see the lyrics should he forget. But then again it's no wonder he might forget with the amount of drink and powder he's abused over the years!
Ozzy is an entertainer and yes his voice does suffer (as do plenty of singers who tour) but he is getting on in years. He's a few years younger than my old man and I can't imagine my dad shouting "Lets go fucking' crazy" or singing Bark At The Moon!!!!
Despite all his faults and his over zealous control freak clucky mother hen gob on legs of a wife you still can't beat the feeling of seeing the original Sabbath line up ripping into War Pigs!
