downy california?
first off I know i could have posted this in the rtt, but since its so huge I have heard several people say they no longer go in there so.
is anyone one here in or around downy california and have been to a metal shop there called 'dark realm records'? ill be heading out to longbeach in 3-4 weeks and want to now if its worth checking out that store.
also does anyone in CA know of any other good shops for metal/music around that area?

Aw, I can't help you out. It's been 20 years since we lived in Bellflower right by Downey. You might try searching the online yellow pages phone book for shops in that area and see what sort of websites they have.

Dark Realm is pretty cool. It's ran by one of the dudes from Sadist Intent. Another store to check out is Bionic Records. Theres a store in Hunington Beach and Fullerton. But really, you need to check out Amoeba Records - it beats both of those stores into the fucking ground (unless your looking for some uber rare Black Metal, thats what DR is good for). Are any of these places shady joints in like bad neighborhoods. I really wanna check out this Dark Realms place to look for some rarities, and Amoeba. (Bionic is the closes to where I'll be, in the Irvine/Laguna Nigel area). The problem is, I'll most likely be with my aunt and uncle or younger cousin or something, and I don't think it'd be appreciated if I take them to some run down place decked out in pentagrams and the likes.  (I'm not old enough to drive a rental car, so I wouldn't be able to go by myself unless I walked or something, and I think they're a bit far for that) |
