Have I woken up back in 1986????? Is it a Xentrix tribute band???
That was fun, not earth shatteringly fantastic but fun!
Got me all nostalgic, I'm trying to squeaze into my old black skin tight jeans and big white trainers as I write! Now where did I put my Acid Reign t-shirt????

One of the better Metal bands to come out of the UK in recent times!

I love thrash and all, believe me I do, but I'm not so much for the thrash revivalists. I mean, if its to be done right, then let it be done right. It's music, not a scene. Evile isn't as bad, but Fueled by Fire, Merciless Death, Warbringer, and the like, they're almost making a joke of thrash as a genre.

The guitarist posts at a forum I frequent. The band is alright but I just dont like "revival bands" like anubis said.

I caught one of their songs on Rockworld TV the other night and was impressed enough to get their record. I haven't bought a thrash record since Corporation 187's debut so I guess that says it all.

Quite decent stuff. They're playing better thrash than all the old bands that they're influenced by!

I can't believe I never noticed you were in a band, Oli. You must have put this up during one of my lengthy internet deprived absences. If you still come here (and it doesn't appear that you do), I'll check this out tomorrow.

For everyone else, this guy is more or less the official Annihilator tabber. Seriously. His tabs have been up on the official Annihilator website since like 2003 or something.

I never would have guessed those tabs were made by the guitarist of Evile. Shit. Those tabs are seriously good.

I saw Evile in Oxford last year. They're alot of fun. The best thrash band I'e heard for ages. We had a beer with the drummer in the pub afterwards, nice guy. They have a really commendable attitude.

How? The way I see it, theyre at least doing something. Without them, I'd still be scratching my ass, watching bands make music that doesnt appeal to me, thinking "Hey there should be a band that sounds like [insert thrash band i really like here]!" Instead of making music that sounds thrashy, just play straight out thrash metal period. Yeah its unoriginal, but that doesn't mean its bad. I mean other bands are putting thrash elements into their music without having a thrash metal label, is not a bad thing, but why not just play thrash metal perios The only reason people think that the thrash bands coming out of Los Angeles are jokes are because of the people that like them because the majority are a bunch of kids that download a bunch of rare thrash band mp3s and pretend to have been into them for years on end.

Just my opinions...

The problem is, alot of these bands aren't thinking about being their own band. I mean, fuck me I guess, but how many bands can claim Exumer as an influence and not just be playing the musical asshole game. I'll bet its not all of them. But if you ask them, they'll say yeah.

I have no problem with thrash, I love thrash, and it can still be done these days without using old Exodus and Testament riffs with a minor change.

And alot of those guys form more of those bands. Then buy the patches, and ruin the shows with the actual thrash bands. How many Agent Steel shows do they need to fuck up before they finally just stop coming?

Hey I knew I recognized this name somewhere. You guys have a downloadable song for the game rock band. Haha.

Good stuff.

I am liking this so far. Guitar/Bass/Drums remind me of early Exodus with some Nasty Savage and originality mixed in for effect, and the vocals are nice. I always figured if I ever had a band, the vox would be something similar either to this, Nasty Savage, or Atheist. NOT the typical DM growls and gurgles.

idk about that one, bc Warbringer are making new progress with their second CD. and with the watered down stuff lately, i'm glad there is Evile.

HOW are they making a "joke" of the thrash genre?
