I burned my finger setting random objects ablaze. When you run out of fireworks; newspaper, woodchips, pine leaves, and boxes all make ample substitutes. My friend actually got some real fireworks this year, so we're going to attempt to shoot them off without hitting any houses or anything in a few mins. WISH US LUCK!

It was a pretty good weekend. I got one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten so that made me very happy. The mom of the boy who lived at my house for several years thanked me for being a mom to her boy when she couldn't. That made me feel very humble and happy at the same time. And dammit, I've got tears again.
