Torrent sites?
I've only been using one torrent site (torrentspy.com) and it doesn't have a lot of the shit I'm looking for, can anyone recommend other good sites?
Oh and what about torrent programs? I've been using bit comet, but a lot of the time my downloads just get stuck at 99%.  |

I use Azareus. I like it better than other torrent clients.

@Moonraven: You use the .torrent files for your downloading clients program (Azareus, Bittorrent, Bit-Comet, etc). Install one of those, then try to open the .torrent file

Azureus rules, but it is a resource hog. BitComets good too, I like the interface of Azureus more though.

yes, you can use a client (azureus, bitcomet, etc) to download any .torrent file found on those sites I've posted. Azureus will take the torrent file, and download the real file it's connected to. Most files are usually compressed (.zip, .rar, .7z) to make for a speedy transfer. Just set windows to automatically use azureus to open .torrent files, and have azureus set to use a default download path, and you barely have to do anything, just click the links and watch it go. Lemme know if you need any help.

On a good connection I usually get around 15-25 kb/s, but I have a hardware firewall which I can't switch off. It varies, right now I'm getting 1.1 kb/s!

Itb depends on what the seeds are transferring at. If you have 1 seed and 2 leechers your transfer rate will be shit. Youll find transfer rate will be shitting when downloading underground metal albums but it will be awesome if you are downloading warez.

i wanna know which ones the fastest torrent downloader, right now i use sharaeza and its a bitch. im trying to download a 3 gig program and a 2 gig program. for about a week now. im only 50% done, is there any faster ones that u use. sry for pulling up an old thread, but i need to know

It's not the original PC edition, it's the 'ultima edition'. As I understand it, the 'ultima edition' is exactly the same as the PS version, whereas the original PC version was shorter than the PS version (I think it only required about 270MB, whereas ultima edition requires a bit over 1GB). Such a great game. |

No, it shouldn't I run a firewall and use a router for my network. Never had to configure any of em for bittorrents, and I get max speed.

i have problems with running through a router, none that arent fixable...i use the program azures and it always tells me i have a "NAT problem" and it wont ever let me dl at max speed. i tried plugging the cable straight into my pc and it ran at full speed...so...

If anyone wants an invite to a really good and fast torrent site, just PM me and I'll hop on aim and give it to you. It's basically trying to mimic Oink.uk, which was the largest and best organized torrent site up until a while ago (got killed by teh gov't).
So this one is really good too, and the whole point is that the more you seed the faster your torrents go and the quicker they connect and the more privileges you get.

Torrents? LULZ. Good for movies and wrestling, I also use this for porn occasionally, although there are better methods. It's the best for movies and a little better than DC++ for wrestling. For music, it's not even close.

i use torrentscan.com to find what i want. It searches through a bunch of different torrent sites. BTJunkie is usually the most reliable one for metal.

Revo didn't have as much as demonoid..but everything was quality and I'd get consistent 1mbps/1.7mbps download speeds.
Dling at 1.6kbps...I thought the napster days were long over!
