Yes, I think it's okay to have one, but it's fucking stupid when people spend so much time on it trying to make themselves look good. I saw a funny thing on another forum, the guy's signature said something like "For brutal, merciless Death Metal...." then right after that it says "Visit www.myspace.com/deathmetal/jpg" or something like that haha.

I hope Blogs are simply a trend.
I have seen a few and the amount of garbage in most seems to take an inordinate amount of time to digest and then....to imagine the authors of these blogs spend the remainder of their time going to other blogs.....I don't know....seems wacky.

oh yes and I made more then 110 friends in 3 months! haha. most people I know have myspace so it's actually fun, other then that it's just whoring around on the internet for a lot of people.

i like the band section of myspace because the mp3s are accessible<im on a new computer now, but still low-tech>band sites can be annoying with finding the mp3, some dont have any, some arent compatible with my comp. also you get a little follow up on what the bands about in the description section, influences, where the bands from, what label they are on. beyond that i dont get the whole myspace thing, its like a highly stylized email account that other people can access, big whoop

I had an account there for about 15 minutes. I decided that some of the info they wanted was nobody's business unless I wanted it to be. I just did it for a friend who started a new account and wanted some feedback at her space. i couldn't find it anyways so I deleted mine. (insert sarcasm here) And now I can never ever have another account there!

It seemed pretty lame to me anyways. If I want to read a blog or something like that I hit maddox or Dr. C's.

I have one but I don't really use it. It's funny a lot of the time, especially the bands on there are just absolutely ridiculous. I mainly got it to look at other people's profiles, and the only reason I would be doing that is because random people will IM me and I'm like, "Oh? Who the hell are you?" and they send me a link to some myspace account. Ehhh there are just too many occasions that it got to the point where it made more sense to spend 2 fucking minutes signing up.

Well, everyone gets bored. And regardless, who cares why someone has a myspace account? Given, there are limits but I can name about 2 people that I really like talking to that I met through that website. It can get annoying though, no doubt.

I personally know about 80-90% of the people in my friends list, I've got like 110 in there now, but I see most of them in real life so it's just good fun placing hissypissy comments on profiles of people you know.

no, because theres loads of guys there just roaming profiles and randomly sucking up to every girl they can add. which is pretty pathetic, I never add people that I don't like or don't know. even though loaaaaads of bands try to add you, I never let them in my list.

Actually I was being silly. I should have added for clarification. But you're right. There's a lot of weirdos out there. That's why I tell people that are going to IM me or email me to identify themself or they get shitcanned. It's kept my spam down to a very bare minimum, too.
