I learned a trick from some mods where I mod that seemed to curtail the "riff-raff" pretty well. We'd go in and change what they said in their post if it was derrogatory. They'd get disgusted and leave. One even pm-d me and told me to grow up. Can you believe that?? Needless to say some people abused the power when they became mods, but it died down.
I was only responsible for complaining to admin about one person and they went out of their way to make remarks about the deceased bandmate of a friend. I didn't know he'd get banned though. He may have even registered in another name, but there was never any more problem like that.
