UPDATE: The court has ordered an authopsy be conducted on the body to find out the cause of death. It is at this time unknown whether the dumbass died from injuries caused by the bears, or from fallin into the cage off of the walls of the fort which houses the Belgrade zoo. Though the fact that his clothes lay untouched in the cage should be clue enough, unless he actually got naked on the wall and threw 'em in there.
People have accused the zoo of being responsible for the man's death, because the bear cage doesn't have a roof. The zoo director replied that "the cage hasn't had a roof for 72 years and nothing like this has ever happened". He said that people like to challenge destiny by climbing the walls and risking life and limb. He also said that the only one to blame is a young man looking for an adrenaline rush. He said that it is common knowledge that beasts such as lions and bears are basically killing machines, and though the bears are omnivores, the diet they are fed at the zoo excludes meat due exclusively to their well known aggressiveness.
Various media watchdog groups have accused newspaper editors of disobeying the laws of ethics in that proffession by publishing photos of the young man's nude dismembered body with titles such as "Horror" and "Death at the Zoo", and publishing speculations about how the man died, even though no official cause of death has yet been confirmed. Some articles even speculated that the man was killed first and then thrown into the bear cage.
The newspapers have also been accused of knowingly causing pain and suffering to the man's grief stricken family by publishing the afore mentioned photos and speculations. I'll let you guys know if anything else develops in this story.
I can post the entire article if you'd like, but it's in Serbian, so I don't know how much good that would do for you. I can also look up the pictures of the body, for those of you who are into that kind of thing, haha.
