I just bought Ico and Beyond Good And Evil today, so I am playing Ico now. Also, I am slowly trying to get through Baten Kaitos (this game has the lamest dialogue EVER)...just to see if the story gets good at the end.

Ditto, on all of it. Cept for the very first mission after you have just hooked up with that Sargeant and you kill those two Germans....I'm pretty sure they would of heard either you or the sergeant rattle away.

I'm on Carentan. I can get through the first two "patches" of enemy, but on the third, those fuckers with their damn Stg44 keep mowing me and my squad down! I like it how at the beginning all the enemy's got are K98's, and then as you progress the enemy get's equipped with better weapons (with a higher rate of fire).
I tried going to back to Call of Duty and play a couple of levels, but after BiA, I simply can't play it. Oh have you got BiA on PC? I have it on X-box, and it's a bitch to aim.
"Beyond Hill 30", I've heard of it, I hear it should be out this Autumn, I can't wait for it either!
Eh, but someone should really make a game about a WWII German Fallschimjager unit or perhaps equally good a Russian VDV unit (heh, Paratrooper forces are a favourite of mine). Now the former ain't gonna happen, but it would amazing to see a BiA type game of a VDV unit. |

It gets VERY repetitive.. I only have about 2 stages left, and I really dont even want to bother.
It was hard enough finding the patience to do the SAME FUCKING THING IN EVERY MISSION!

War isn't predictable.. this game is. Full Spectrum Warrior does a better job.. its alot harder too.
I prefer Call of Duty.. atleast thats fun.

Dont get me wrong, its a great concept and fun for the first few levels... but they never bothered to give you any reason to continue the game. Half way through you realise that you have been playing the same mission, just different levels.. and some with a tank.. Its still, covering fire, run around.. shoot... repeat.
Its replay value is just low. Im just happy I downloaded it.

That's realism, especially for that campaign. Atleast they haven't done an obligatory(sp?) beach assualt, or one man-all guns blazing WW2 shooter. The sequel isn't called "beyond hill 30" by the way, "earned in blood" is the working title.....it just basically follows on from Carentan...

thats a great game!
ive been playing Mario RPG. i think this game kicks ass. i like rpgs, and this ones so much cooler than most any other one. plus the game looks great, if anyones ever played it here, you know what im talking about.

i was playing Tony Hawks Underground 2. very fun game. i put my face in the game. from behind, the player actually looks like my if i wore one of those winter hats that the russians do. haha. the musics not bad either, had to eliminate a lot from the playlists because a lot of it was sheer shit.

For me it's a tie between FF7 and FF8. Love the story snd the Materia system of 7 and I like the graphics, Junction system, and gameplay of 8. Just talking about it makes me want to start playing both again right now.
ps: Has anyone heard anything new about the FF7 movie?

I love 9 too; the way the final boss was something completely unexpected won quite a bit of points from me. I think 7 is just slightly overrated. And I have no idea why so many people hate 8.

FF9 is my favorite...I personally liked the storyline better than the others. That and the characters were so loveable. The simple ability system was appealing too. Too bad Tetra Master doesn't live up to Triple Triad. (Now I sound like a nerd.)
Recently though I just played through the Knuckles portion of Sonic Adventure...I'll have to put my Dreamcast away soon and bring out Mega Collection plus for PS2. I've yet to be Sonic 3 and Knuckles with Super Tails. That and nothing beats a healthy dose of Comix Zone. Nothing.

Yeah, I am that way on FF Origins. I'm at the last dungeon in FF 1 (Mirage Tower I think), and I just can't go beat it. Probably because you can't save in the middle of dungeons and therefore I would have to set aside and hour or two to go beat it.

Indeed you do. PS1 is home to the best Final Fantasies. (Sorry SNES fans! but I'll give you points for having Chrono Trigger. That game was orgasmic.)

Just get a snes emulator.
Then you have all sorts of awesome games like
Final Fantasy 5
Chrono Trigger
Tales Of Phantasia
etc.
You lot recomened a bunch of ones before - but I got sick of that genera (ha ha ha0 and have not looked back at it yet - but those are the best of the ones i played.

I did the samething man. I'm inches away from the final bosses on both 7 and 8 and I gave up for no reason.
On 7 every charcter is on level 99 and I have every summon. I guess I stopped because I wanted to beat Emerald and Ruby Weapon but I never could so I gave up. I know I want Omni Slash (sp?) mastered before I go further so I can use it with mime or I can do it and Knights of the Round over and over again. Damn, now I sound like a nerd.
On 8 I have everything is on level 99 except Eden which is the best GF on the game. I stopped right before the last battle so I can level up Eden because when it's completely leved up it's attack can be boosted to do 100,000 damage. Its a really old save too, I named everything after a death metal band I knew at the time like Deicide, Opeth, Exhumed, and Immolation.

I'm playing Jade Empire. It's made by the same people who made Knights of the Old Republic, so if you liked that, you're definitely gonna like Jade Empire. It's like KOTOR, except in a world out of a fantasy Kung Fu movie, and with real-time fighting.

I've just downloaded America's Army.
Not a bad game in my opinion, the training should be much more in-depth and rigorous though, and I think you should have a ranking system along with the experience tally. Anyway, if anyone likes modern technology FPS' (and i usually don't) I'd recommend this.

I just finished Ico. I recommend it to everyone. The landscapes are gorgeous, and the gameplay is complimented by the scenery. Just get it used somewhere.

A little over 15 hours into Jade Empire, and I'm still having fun. If nobody clicked the link I posted, it showed IGN's score of 9.9/10
I'd say that it deserves a play through. A bit off topic, but the Heat lost! I don't want the Pistons winning again! I don't want the Pistons OR the Spurs to win... so I've kinda been screwed really hard, in this case.

I am now playing Baten Kaitos. This game sucks. I have been trying to force myself through it since the early winter or so. I re-started once, so I could get everything from the beginning, and now I am 11 hours or so into it again, these 11 hours being put on after a span of months. Upon playing these 11 hours, I fully realized how completely fucking lame the characters and dialogue is. The landscapes are gorgeous, and the fighting system is fun, but watching the actual "story" play out is gimpy.
