Good Songs For My Retarded Bandmates

(Optional story to back my question
Currently, I'm working with two local guys in a "band" -- one of them I'm teaching drums (who's doing quite well for beginner's sake), and the other is attempting to play his guitar (as I take bass/vocals). While they have good intentions, the poor sumsabitches can't play with others worth a shit. The drummer is okay, and he and I do well by ourselves. But with the guitarist in the mix, everything is fucked. They're okay in their own little worlds, it's just that problems arise when we all three try to play something together.
(Question
What are some good songs that don't have too many parts to them (and are also easy enough for these dudes)? If I do not act now, I may lose this struggling pile of shit we call a band to permanent retardation.

And I appologize to the highest if this has been brought up before, but I doubted it and skipped the search button (what was I supposed to type in?).

Try some of the more simple Iced Earth tunes such as "Dark Saga", "Violate", and "Blessed Are You".

Slayer - postmortem

Sepultura stuff off chaos AD is very easy, the hardest stuff is probably the drumming, havent listened to it for ages though.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
But, to give you an example of how much the guitarist is "struggling", he can't seem to even play the intro to Seek And Destroy correctly and on-time with other musicians (although that is one he tries but fails to play often).
He and the drummer are good friends and like Metallica alot -- although they are into mostly into the newer shit (black album and up). I tried to get them into death metal, but they thought it was too heavy.
So hopefully through your replies I'll find something this poor lad can grab a hold of.

Almost anything off of Exodus-Bonded By Blood is very simple for drums and guitars both.

It could be, it's really easy to play. Just to solidify band unity.

a few years ago when me and former friend and his brother were all beginners at music, we would play these two songs

six feet under-lycanthropy
god dethroned-the econoclast deathride

i think you should try at least one because they're really easy and pretty fun to play for beginners (your band mates).

oh and we also played cradle of filth-the twisted nails of faith. it was fun.

It has got a lot of choirs, a boring interlude that does not really work in jamming, and a solo that, while not hard, is not really something for beginners.
