your favorite lineup
i am interested on what are your favorite lineups for bands. for example iron maiden 3 guitarist a bass a drummer and a singer, children of bodom= Alexi laiho-guitar/vocals and another guitarist a bass a keyboardist and a drummer another example my favorite lineup is children of bodoms lineup but with an extra guitarist

Clean vocals - Dude from dark tranquillity (man I'm crap, I don't know names)
Growl vocals - Dude from Opeth
Lead guitar - Guitarist from Dissection
Rhythm - Guitarist from Rotting Christ
Bass - Bongrat!!
Drums - Drummer from Amon Amarth, always liked their drums.

damn dude theres a fucking bands section for a reason, if you managed to scroll down this far then you passed the bands section so you had ample time to see it, next time open your eyes and take the 2 seconds it takes to read the name of each section
and this had been down countless times before search it

One of my favorite lineups is Skyfire since both guitarists do the keyboards for the band.
Then i like summoning a lot because both members do the keyboards and the other roles are pretty much split evenly between the two guys.
And for mithotyn i like that three of the guys sing the chior vocals and two of them play the keyboards of the band.

Guitars: Chris Impellitari, Steve Vai, Jason Becker.
Vocals: Micheal Akedfelt, Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson
Bass (I don't care too much about this but there can only be one) Cliff Fucking Burton.
Keyboards: Rachmininov or Vadim From DragonForce
that would be the ultimate shred/screech/drum solo/keyboard wank/bass ripping fest imaginable.

Alot of these posts aren't even adressing the right question.
Anyway, I like Overkill with two guitarists, as while the music is a little simpler, it is more dynamic, especially in a live setting.
I personally prefer Iron Maiden with just two guitarists, as, on teh albums at least, it seems a little much, and kind of pointless.
Motorhead's better as a three peice. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy alot of the twin guitar stuff, but the three peice stuff is jsut better. Take the new album for example. That is some of the most out and out angry material they've released in a long time, and it still manages to translate live without sounding thin.
