I believe that when push came to shove, it would end up being a MUCH harder decision than what you all seem to have taken it to be. Those of you whom voted the bottom option are not taking it seriously at all, and the fact that you would pick it reflects this. If the described situation arose (plane crash in mountains - or something along those lines) then you would most likely wind up there with your family or other loved ones. The way you have all taken it apears that you are all canibalising anoyamus people, when almost certinly, this would never be the case.

Personally I would most likely do as much foraging as possible before even considering that option. After all other sources of food had be completely consumed, then most poeple would probably go to a point of starvation prior to considering canibalism. But you would die of dehydration before you came to that point anyway. Besides starving can take a number of days, up to 1 week, where as if you drink nothing, you would probably die in 2 or 3 days.

In the senario mentioned.....water is not an issue......the plane from the event mentioned crashed in snow.
Also....there were dead upon the crash leaving instant food sources. Humans are greasy and fatty....you could live a very long time on People N Snow....and personaly....I'd eat whoever.....family or not.....I'm gonna live to Jam another day!!!

Yes, but all semblance of soul has departed from the human and it is therefore just carrion. If we don't eat it to survive, then either something else will or it will just decay and bio-degenerate into it's surroundings.

If I died in a plane crash and the only way for the survivors to stay alive was to eat my decidely smooth and muscular (!) corpse, then I'm all for it. I wouldn't want them to die just because they had moral issues with eating me - I'd encourage them from beyond the grave if I could.

I've never read Moby Dick, but my science teacher told me that it was based on a true story, and in the true story, after the whale destroys the boat and the surviving crew are adrift, they kill and eat the one of the crew. And the guy they ate was the captain's nephew. They didnt catch any crap for it though because it was a life or death situation. I should go read that book.

I,ve seen that almost the 100% of you are "cannibals". Now I´ve got another question for you. I know a real story of a man who went to a mountain and a rock came into his arm,he was trapped under that rock. He was alone there, so before one or two days he thought that if he did not cut her arm he couldn´t go back home, so he took the knife he used to use to cut apples to eta them then, and he cut his arm, and went home back.

MY question is would you do that?(and if you need to cut an arm wich one will it be , the right the left, or a leg???), and in the same situation, if you have eaten all the people was with you would you eat your arm or another part of your body?(wich one would it be???)

If my arm was trapped with no way of getting out, I would probably wait a few days, and then I would probably do it. Actually, I don't know, it depends entirely on the situation, I can't predict how I would react to such a situation. But yeah, I would've probably tried to have cut it off, and shit myself in the process.

I think I´m the person taht if needs to eat a human I´ll do it. (if he or she is dead of course), I wouldn´t kill anyone to eat him/her.

In the second case, I think I´m a person who has a lot of hope, so I think I will die before eating my own arm or leg or anything (waiting for a superheroine).

I would eat humans if there was'nt anything else going (ie. in the snow like in "Alive" where theres effectively nothing else unless you're Ray Mears).
