Last night I decided to cook some boneless/ skinless chicken breast. I put some of this awesome seasoning salt on it, along with some garlic and baked it. After that, I told my mother to never cook chicken for me again.

ever since graf showed a pic of his salad, i wanted the same. last night i made one with lettuce, tomato, ham slices, garlic, parmesan, crushed red pepper  , and italian dressing. im always hungry, at night, so salads would be much healtheir choice, over what i usually have at night, ice cream. hah.
here, in a bit, im going to have what i had yesterday. pizza with sliced ham, bell pepper and onion, with extra mozarella, on top, to get brownish and crisp, and also to hold the other toppings on. yesterday, the pizza was nearly 2 inches thick!

ive had the same lentil soup, since i was a kid. its by Progresso. Heres a PIC of the type of can, if the name doesnt stick in your head. for some reason, they have pics of tons of their soups... but not the single damn one i needed, here. anyway, i always eat it with crackers, and a stick of cheese. also, i dont know how the FUCK you can drink liquor with supper. mixed drink, or not. after ive had a few bites of food, i will be uncomfortably close to puking, if i taste liquor. i drink milk, or water ONLY, with supper. i cant remember the last time i had a soda, with food. and thats a damn good thing, because i get shitloads of soda, on drinking nights (every other night), coke and rum. |

yea progresso makes some decent soups. stick of cheese as in string cheese? or a block of cheese?
ehh this particular glass of mixed liquor was fairly weak. was the remnants of a strong drink..most of the glass..but i topped it off with juice since it was dinner time.
you've never tried beer with dinner or lunch? definitely worth a go. you can have the wrong food/beer pairings..but if you get a good one, you won't look back! hah |

aha, but i was careful to specify liquor and food. beer, and some food is good. i dont do it much. but i have mentioned before that my favorite is a chicken fajita taco, with pretty much any average beer. i also mentioned that a burrito, with dark beer, was a BAD idea. haha. and im not even talking about the taste mixture...
i think beer and meat are a good mix. im pretty sure a slab of steak will go good with most beer. |

that's right, i do remember you mentioning beer and food before.
most beer goes with meat...but it depends on how you season the meat. thats where the technicalities come in. just gotta watch out for really flavorful foods. basic foods are easier to match with beers.

yeah, thats true. like ive also mentioned before, my friend has 5 huge lime trees at his house, and hes mexican. hes the reason i like corona. his dad is a huge meat lover. he has a large freezer thats constantly packed. we pretty much squeeze lime on everything, there. the meat, the chips, the beer. its usually always a good mix, due to the lime.

I had a big nacho plate covered with cheese, red and green pepper, black olives and simply loaded with jalapenos. I even ate the salsa dip and sour cream tortilla bowls.
Oh, I was also drinking Guinness through the night...I woke up about a half an hour ago with the ridiculous urge to shit. My ass still hurts.

hahaha. when im driving through town, and i somehow manage to buy stuff like that, i always feel pretty crappy, afterwards.

i made a decent hamburger today. not much too it, but it was good. buttered/slightly burnt buns. tomato. lettuce. barbaque sauce. white cheese. and i made the patty, with a little bit of Worcestershire sauce.
tonight, i am barbaqueing various meat, and of coarse, having rum.

hah i see now that they are "biscuits" (crackers)..but they do sort of look like ravioli.
not eating it yet..but about two hours ago i through a pork roast in the oven at low temp (200 F) to bake for a number of hours and make some pulled pork sandwiches. same shit i made before a couple times that i think i posted pics of. i let it sit in the mustard and spice rub overnight wrapped in some cling wrap to let it soak in some of the flavor.

beer brats are always good.
unfortunately, the roast didn't turn out so great... put it in at 10:45 and took it out i think at 4:30pm..was on 200F for a while..but i bumped it up to 225F. was cooked and tasted alright, but wasn't tender like it should've been ..i did forget to wrap it in foil and let it sit for a while first..i think that might be what did it. we were hungry so we took it out of the oven and ate.

wednesday night i'm going to a thai restaurant and i've only had thai food once, and i have no clue what i had..so i was wondering if any of you guys could give me some suggestions? i don't like fish, though i know they use a lot of fish sauce in many meals..so that isn't a problem, just thought i'd throw that out there so you don't say some fish meal. also, i love really spicy food..they make everything to taste at this place, so i'm gonna order something spicy and tell them to make it extra spicy.

I can totally help you!!
First, the thing you need to know about thai food is: I hope you like sweet and peanut sauce! Thai food is a lot of rice and sweet sauce with meet like, chicken, beef, pork plus few vegetables. One thing I suggest you is: Imperial Rolls, dunno if you will like it, but it's quite good!
Like I said, chicken, pork, beef, shrimps are the principal. Meet is cooked with ginger, peanut sauce, lemon sirup (sweet).
Soup: The typical soup is called Tom Yum, very easy soup: veggies, meet.
I suggest you the rice, the Imperial Rolls and the soup plus your principale plates

thanks..i'm not crazy about sweet..but i love spicy, so i should be ok. someone else i talked to mentioned that soup also, so maybe i'll give that a go. the one they described had shrimp/prawns in it.
i was thinking about going with just the "red curry" w/ beef for the main meal, that or some kind of curry w/ noodles. |

yeah curry has a strong flavor, not hot tho. Yeah thai is very spicy and hot, if you dont like it, just ask to the waitress to reduce the hotness! Hope that the waitress can at least understand english
last time I went to a chinese restaurant...I ask to the waiter to reduce the spice...contrary to what i ask him...he putted MORE spice...It was so fucking hot that I couldn't eat that, i was so angry....DAMN CHINESE, AT LEAST LEARN ENGLISH WHEN YOU COME IN AMERICA....(the waiter only spoke chinese)

haha well, quebec is bilingual, there are many places that is only french tho! But in montreal it's bilingual, so they can at least learn english (easier to learn english than french)
I dont like spicy food...when its to hot...i cant taste the food anymore and I hate it

A Thai red curry I had about a month ago was the hottest meal I've ever eaten. I was eating through it and sweating away and one of the spoonfuls had some chili on it. I was aware of it, but didn't think it would be as hot as it was. My mouth was really burning for about 30 mins. With some curries I've had, they are really hot and don't taste all that good, but this one had both, probably the best curry I've ever had.
Also, my girlfriend is from Thailand, and she's cooked for me a few times. I'm not a fan of fish either 'cos like Bob said, they eat it a lot. She brought this fish to work one day that a friend had come from Thailand with a friend that had been dried for 6 months. It was fucking horrible.

had a thai beer with it as well. the beer wasn't great, however i was expecting that. i just have never had a thai beer before so i figured what the hell.. |

i don't quite follow you there bob. they said they had mild, medium, hot, and then thai hot. so i just went with the thai hot, and it was pretty hot. cleared out my sinuses but wasn't insanely hot where i was sweating or had to drink some water or beer after a few bites.
right now i'm making some chili. it's basically done, but i'm letting it simmer so some of the diced carrot isn't crunchy at all. it tastes damn good though..not insanely hot, but hot enough. made two batches...one for my grandma that isn't hot, though i accidentally made it too hot for her.  and then my half which has a few habaneros, serranos, jalapenos, along with crushed and ground red pepper, a packet of ground cayenne, and other spices. can't wait to sit down and have that..of course it'll be even better tomorrow. |

few suggestion, never drink water or beer when its too hot, drink milk, its the best seriously.

ohh, nah it wasn't insanely hot where you couldn't taste what you were eating. i like it really hot though, to the point where some say you can't taste anything.
yea, i know water in particular doesn't help and that milk is better. i just don't really drink milk. i have some on cereal, thats about it.
the chili was pretty spicy..i'd say easily as spicy as that thai food. i say that because it basically had the same effect on me. my nose was starting to run, so i used a tissue. no sweat on the forehead hah. the bathroom should be ok, i'm pretty used to those trips to the john.  |
