and if you did get the metalmind reissue, you should have gotten the 'authorized' displeased version, with a huge amount of bonus tracks and elaborate liner-notes from the band

I never really watched the 24 series. I guess because I'd be always wondering when do they sleep. Do they sleep in 24?
Now Darkplace, I'd buy that season. Man I hope they make more episodes!

If you're talking about Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, then you have good (great) taste in comedy I need to buy that dvd too, in a couple of weeks or so i'd think.

Thanks. You can download the season on isohunt.com using torrent. I'm thinking of downloading, burning it to dvd, then delete it from my computer. I needs my memory.

hell yeah to both. I recently found my old soundtrack to that movie on cassette. another kickass movie that comes to mind when I think of Young Frankenstein is Wild Zero.
edit: I was thinking of Young Einstein, hahah. I always mix those two up. young frankenstein is still great, though.

Protest The Hero - Fortress
Both albums came out today and I've been waiting a while for them.

i read the weirdest interview with that mars volta guy, about his studio being possessed by the devil and he had to stay locked in there for a few months non-stop to prevent satan from crashing his hard-disk.

Actually, I believe you're talking about this:
"On a trip in Jerusalem, Rodriguez-Lopez purchased an archaic ouija-type talking board at a curio shop as a gift for Bixler-Zavala. They would return to their tour bus after shows to play with it during their 2006 tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as it quickly became the band's post-show ritual. Dubbed "The Soothsayer", the board revealed stories, gave names and made demands, as the band was contacted by three different people who appeared in the form of one, whom was then referred to as "Goliath". The more the band had interacted with "The Soothsayer", otherworldly coincidences began plaguing the band's experience writing and recording The Bedlam in Goliath: Deantoni Parks—their current drummer at the time—had quit mid-tour and left the band with financial troubles; Bixler-Zavala wound up needing surgery performed on his foot due to the shoes he had been wearing, forcing him to relearn how to walk post-surgery; audio tracks sporadically and literally disappeared off the screens; Rodriguez-Lopez's home studio flooded and had been subject to multiple power outages; and the album's original engineer had gone through a nervous breakdown, leaving behind all previous work with no notes as to where anything was. Rodriguez-Lopez was nearly on the brink of starting over from scratch, but instead kept on with the recruitment of Robert Carranza as the replacement engineer, along with assistance from Lars Stalfors and Isaiah Abolin. Midway through the recording sessions, Rodriguez-Lopez buried "The Soothsayer" as an attempt to undo the curse and halt the unforeseen tragedies, who ended the ordeal by swearing never to give away the whereabouts of its burial, and also asking the band not to speak of it again during the remainder of the album's production"
Mars Volta music is kinda hard to describe. They've been often called the new Zeppelin. Their music sounds like its been written whilst under the influence of acid. They use a lot of organs, bongos, keyboards, and horns.
And yes requiem, iI dd buy these albums.

I heard Mars Volta for the first time a few months ago when I was smoking huge amounts of weed with a pal from school. I could pick up their King Crimson influence right away, especially in the guitar player, and I was actually really digging them. Then I heard their music normally and nothing clicked, like it was just a bunch of random "avant-garde" ideas thrown together to make a "song".
I just returned a Sansa View 16 GB MP3 player I got on Saturday from Best Buy. They didn't have any 2nd generation Zunes, only the old ones (in pink.. wtf). So I went to Circuit Shitty and got me one. They are fucking unbelievable. You just need to have your albums and mp3's tagged correctly.

Yeah, MV is great while high.
The same goes for ipods, you need the album, song, and artist. But I guess that goes for any mp3 player. How are Zunes? I'll never buy one since I have an ipod but I've always been curious.

Personally I love my Zune to death. I think they are incredible. I love the huge screen, I love how it doesn't color the sound, and I love the interface. I had a first generation one that died on me last year because I stupidly let the battery decharge all the way. They supposedly fixed that, as well as a shitload of other things, in the 2nd generation Zune. Sometimes it won't sync pictures, but hey, you can't be perfect.
I returned my Sansa View 16 GB because the interface was ugly as shit, it made everything sound like shit (no, really, it did) and it felt like a piece of rubbery shit. For $199, it just made more sense to spend an extra $40 and get my 80GB Zune. It's too bad because I waited until the Sansa View came out before I spent money on another MP3 player.
A couple tricks that I do to make it easier is to have a seperate folder on my main hard drive that houses everything that's supposed to sync up on my Zune when I plug it in. I also use a program called TagRunner that automatically tags all your music you tell it to. I need this because if there's one thing I hate that everyone does, it's crappily tagged MP3s. One time I had Gorefest end up in the "Blues" genre on my old Zune, haha.

actually i'm fairly impartial. i'm a redskins fan. /
haha... the only reason i'm going for the pats is because my old roommate, basstendencies, is from new england and a pats fan. that, and i love seeing ely make those "why is this happening to me!?" faces.

Yeah i'm not too excited about this Superbowl. I'm really sick of the Pats, and I despise the Giants more than any team in the NFL. So i guess i'll be cheering for the Pats. The Eagles have always been my team.

The Colts has been my team of choice ever since Manning was drafted. But I guess I'm for the Patriots.

Bart's Nightmare for SNES for $10.
I was walking back from my class this morning and in the main campus center there was this oldish guy selling all old skool vg's - right up my alley way. Loads of NES, SNES, and N64 titles, an SNES, NES, Genesis, random Pokemon N64, and he even had a black FC Twin all sprawled across three tables. I just couldnt leave empty handed. He told me he's gonna probably be there every Tuesday from now on which would be absolutely sick.

I like the first simpsons game. That is one of the hardest games of all time.
The new one is pretty good too.

That's fuckin' worth it for so cheap. I'm not a 7 string fan, but I'd sure as hell pick that up.
