When the Italian epic metal band RHAPSODY first met the legendary actor Christopher Lee in December 2003 during the recording of their current album "Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II – The Dark Secret" no one really knew what could come of this collaboration.

It was only after Lee himself, being a talented singer possessing a rich bass/baritone voice, expressed his "concerns" that he was about to narrate for the album in a role of a wizard king and not sing at all, laid the ground for what was to come next:

The release of the album was critically acclaimed by both fans and media and achieving fantastic chart positions throughout the world – the parties decided to meet again in December 2004 to re-record the album track “The Magic Of The Wizard’s Dream”, this time as a duet that would feature the rich and expressive singing voice of none other than Mr. Lee with the band RHAPSODY.

In many reviews of the album, media and fans had already chosen the song as one of the best ever by the band. So this time producer Joey DeMaio was chosen by the band and Mr. Lee to produce the recording with the help of a Cologne string orchestra and some other guest musicians.
With Mr. Lee’s command of over 12 languages it was a pleasure not a problem to record the song in the four different languages English, German, French and Italian. Also a spectacular video was shot in High Definition filmed by noted director Neil Johnson featuring a 40-piece orchestra and a 20-piece choir.

It would not be an overstatement to call the new version of "The Magic Of The Wizard’s Dream" a grand and epic piece of work in the style of Disney movies or world class sports events. This is definitely a song full of emotion and fantasy, heart and soul.

In addition to the four language versions the band also produced two brand new studio tracks, the fast and powerful “Autumn Twilight” and the sweet and traditionally influenced “Lo Specchio D’Argento” that will also appear on this new offering.

With their sixth album "Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II – The Dark Secret“ on Magic Circle Music RHAPSODY continue to pioneer their new style of cinematic metal aptly called Film Score Metal.

RHAPSODY has sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
This summer they will play two exclusive shows as very special guest on the “Masters Of Rock” Festival in the Czech Republic and the “Earthshaker Fest 2005” in Geiselwind, Germany.

How cool is that??? I bet good ole Uncle Vinnie Price is rolling in his grave over making a video with Michael Jackson though. But his speaking role in it was the best part anyways.

I'd like to hear this. Christopher Lee is fine actor, too.

So, let me get this all straight in my head: a Rhapsody song, with Christopher Lee singing, and Joey Demaio, from Manowar, producing? This could possibly be the best/cheesiest/best again thing ever put to tape. Somebody needs to excerpt the Wicker Man scene in which Lee wears a dress and wig, track this song to it, and broadcast it into space, through dimensional barriers, and into the future and past. Nobody should miss out on this. Everybody must know.

ha ha ha ha ha PST, im sure that some sort of evil alien could percieve the transmission as weakness and come to destroy the planet, though what could be worse is if they like what they seee and come to aid us in univeral distribution of power metal.
I have "symphony of enchanted lands II : the dark secret" which was the last album, om which he did some spoken word stuff, playing the wizard king or whatever, it ads to the general cheezeiness. But I still like it anyway. Here is a collection of classy pictures for you all as well

that's nothing. Macho Man Randy Savage, (the former professional wrestler, and current for all I know), has put out a hip hop CD. I shit you not. I don't know how many people here are familiar with the guy, cause this is some old school WCW shit, but he's got a deep voice, and always speaks in a manner that makes all the blood vessels in his head and neck pop out.
When I saw the commercial for it on TV, I damn near shit my pants. I've yet to get it, and when I do, I'll make sure I post a clip from it.
I gotta check out that Rhapsody deal too, cause Christopher Lee has a bad mother fucking voice. They ought to get him to do a duet with the guy from Star Trek, the captain. He's got a cool voice, too. That would be some pretty interesting shit.

Shatner, right? Fuck Picard.

Bruce Willis and Kevin Bacon both have bands, as do many others. Hell, that damn Canadian Doug Flutie has a band. Willis put on a free concert for the troops at the beginning of the Afghanistan invasion. He also saved the world from an asteroid, saved a black crime lord in LA from Redneck Anal Invaders, and stopped a little boy from seeing ghosts. Bruce Willis is a great man. Nevermind those Mathew Perry Apocrypha, or any of the other shitty, shitty, non-canon movies he made: Bruce Willis rules more than the Hapsburgs ever did. That's a fact. Now, if that's a fact, tell me: am I lying?

Wait, wait, that was about Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken ruling. Sorry. Neither have bands to my knowledge. But they rule.

By the way, I feel very dirty for mentioning Star Trek. Star Wars rules! (But, really, fuck Picard. Kirk all the way.)

He's not American enough, tragically for him. As we all know, American audiences find Australian accents crass rather than classy (especially on the female of the species), so he doesn't even win points for his accent ('Crikey! Which one'a yew cunts cut out moi foighting! Eye'll furkin' kill'yer bassard! Oi! Where's me 'roo? Izzat Jim eye spoiy 'ere 'a makin' moves on moiy bloo'ie 'roo? Eye'll furkin' kill'yer bassard!,' which leads us to the Question For The Night: Who Would Win in a Fight Over a Kangaroo: farbeyondsane or Russell Crowe? Puzzle it over and we'll see tomorrow).

But, uh, yeah, being American wins points, since we all know that everyone who does something to save to world in an action movie is bound to be American. Russel puts on a pretty good American accent, but we've all know he's Australian since L.A. Confidential. So no dice.

He's a big poncy fag. I could tear that man's head off from across the room with my breath. Drunks are easy.

Now, all of these men are actors. Which means they're in the mincing business. Who else is in the mincing business?

Bodybuilders. Anyone who knows who Kevin Levrone is may just find this hilarious.

Hahaha, reminds me of a "Mighty Boosh" episode. One of the zookeepers fought a Kangaroo to impress a lady friend, and there was this song playing throughout "how do you get to kill a 'roo, it's all up to you"..

Turns out you're supposed to grab 'im on the balls. So, whoever has better ball grabbing skills, and thus nimbler fingers, would win. My bet's on FBS!

Anyone know where to hear C. Lee's singing over the internet?

Right lets clear this up. Mr. Lee is singing with Rhapsody on a re-record of "The Magic Of The Wizards Dream". This is yet to be released, from memory it will be released in the next couple of months. I searched the internet a couple of days ago and found nothing. So you will all have to be slightly patient.

Is that clear enough?

Yes I know. If you read my post correctly, you would have understood that I wanted to know if anyone had any links to anything he's recorded, since apparently, he is a good singer.

Right, for those that care: you should be able to find the track on your favourite P2P program now.

Alright. Its nothing better than the origional, jsut imagine the Rhapsody guy actually singing, then Lee comes out and speaks his words (not sings). The chorus is a bit different, there might be singing in that, but if there is, you cant hear it over the actual singers voice.
