I think what happens is you spend lots of money on the car, then don't drive it to the full potential as you are afraid that you might dent it.

mr2 twin turbo?
all I gotta do is go hop in the M5 and dominate your ass
or my next project is to convert my 320i into a 335i turbo
which would be the 3.5l Turbo engine out of an e23 7 series
into the 2000lb 320i chassis. The Normally aspirated versions I've seen can smoke the living shit out of NSX's

I drive a opel calibra. ( opel is called vauxhall in england i believe ) It's pretty fast. A friend of mine is a mechanic and modded the shit out of it. It's just really loud because it has 4 exhausts were I can stuff my arm in easily.

I had a 81' VW Rabbit and it was a good little car. I had a few things go wrong with it but it was easy to work on and fix. I would buy another VW auto if the price was right.
Is the camper van a VW?

I've owned two VW's; a Golf hatchback, and my current Golf Estate... both great cars, have been pretty reliable Only faults that i've had with them were both ignition faults, and both were exactly the same thing (ignition module, around Ł30)
I'd probably advise against the camper van, due to its 'novelty' nature, it'd be more likely to be broken into or stolen methinks

Hmm...I don't know. A 1970's camper really appeals to me. I like the idea of a car you can live in.

This is exactly my car, 1987 Chrysler 5th Ave. 318 throttle body, 3 speed automatic, cassette AM/FM, electric fucking everything... nice car. I've had it for probably a year, the only thing I've replaced is the water pump.

hah, yea so you know more then a technician like me who spends 8 hours a day non-stop working on them 6 days a week? There are very few people who understand the new technology in vehicles from front to back.
As for my car, got a 2000 Monte Carlo. 17" chrome ConceptSeven rims with 245/45ZR17 Dunlop SP Sport tires. Custom painted brake components and upper intake manifolds. K&N cold air intake system, Dynomax dual exhaust system.... blah blah...
(got an '89 Mustang 5.0 and '85 GMC truck for sale right now, need the money for tech school coming up soon again)

current car: 99 golf gti, ecu reprogrammed, modded turbo and inlet, shortshift kit, coilover suspension, other little mods. was saving for a big turbo conversion and 6sp box, but now im broke.
and a 2006 mitsubishi express van for work. fucks up my neck though.
previous cars: 82 commodore, 308 V8, manualised auto, locked diff, drag shocks, front runners. also, several other 6cyl commodores in various states of modifications and disrepair.
i got the golf because standard it comes with turbo, doesnt use anywhere near petrol the v8 did, which is important when you live an hour from town, and i needed something that could stop and turn on the street. this only made sense as im a serial speeder. worst performance was 150km/h in a 50 zone and frequently travel double speed limit.

Damn spending 410 bucks a month i wouldn't mod it at all. Seriously. I would look into adding value to the car instead of highly comprimising it like i think you're thinking about doing it. There aer plenty of oem mods you can do that will add value but it isn't the ones you might be thinking of haha.
Unless you just got that kinda money to buy brand new vechicles and.... rice them out.

I have just got a 1971 Dodge Charger R/T, its just a rolling shell at the moment, I plan on turning it into a show car. I am going to put either a 265 hemi with tripple webbers or supercharger or a 318 hemi fireball in it. I am leaning towards the 265.

Cool cars guys. Chargers, Trans Ams, I wished I had my high school sweetheart's old '71 or '72 Pontiac Ventura. He probably does, too, since they only made 12, 000 of them. They looked like the early 70's Nova's. He traded that for a Firebird and then a Dodge Van with fur, a bar, and a cool stereo system with an 8-track.
That Ventura had glasspax and big tires on the back that was jacked up. It was scream on the freeway. Pontiac blue with a white top.

I finanally saw a Tiburon when I was at the hardware store today. Those are sharp little cars. The one I saw was a salt covered dark blue, but it was still pretty cool. I think my tractor is bigger than it though. lol

Yeah, but put the spotlight on the firebird so you can spot with it. I don't think it's legal, but it would be fun. lol

A friend had one on his Bronco a long time ago. It did come in handy sometimes when he'd get it into weird places 4-wheeling.
