I think the Pats and the Eagles are pretty well matched for each other. I don't think it's going to be an easy game for the Pats, they will have a tough time, but I think they will get the job done. In honor of the Pats, I'll stop using Red Sox avatars until the Superbowl. If they win, I'll stop using Sox avatars until two weeks after the Superbowl. We'll see what happens.

the game was on real late last night/early morning here. It was ok for about an hour until the constant stopping/starting and fucking annoying adverts got to much. What a load of crap! Rugby players in England are constantly being pummelled into the ground, having groups of 280lb men converge on top of them, having over a ton of combined weight driving into them with every scrum not to mention the constant punching between respective front-rowers. Then when they escape the scrum they have to put up with being stamped on in the ruck and then contend with bouts of fighting.

They don't wear helmets or the ridiculous body armour that American footballers wear and they certainly don't wear skin tight lycra cycle shorts. Most wear gumshields, a jock strap, a flimsy shirt and get on with it. Like real men would. Rugby players also have to contend with the fact that there are no extended periods of inactivity and only one interval. Eighty minutes of hard toil with just 10 minutes during half time to recover and light each other's farts.

Don't even get me started on Aussie Rules - those fuckers are invincible compared to American footballers.

Yanks, look out for Ben Graham, quite a crap Aussie Rules player, but he can kick a ball 70 metres. He just retired from AFL and is now looking to be an NFL punter/kicker/whateveryoucallit. If he can figure out what to do for the other 5 seconds he's on the field and not kicking a ball, he'll be raking in the big bucks.

Oh and I saw a replay of the superbowl - nice close match, nearly as good as last year's.
