First Death Metal Album
So what was the first DM album you bought?
I bought The Berzerker's Dissimulate and Marduk's La Grande Danse Macabre at the same time, they were my first.
While we are around the Neighbourhood, why not first album aswell?
My very first album, was like, a Mr. Squiggle CD that I had when I was like 3.

Psh. Death isn't a deathmetal band . My first Deathmetal album would have to be Spawn of Possession's Cabinet.

I think Bloodthirst was Bloodthirsty's favorite, which might be the source of confusion. I've always been very fond of Butchered at Birth, too. I really like the new album as well, it's way better than Gore Obsessed.

shania twain - come on over (shut up)
first "metal" album i bought:
black sabbath masters of misery: the earache records tribute (i thought it was the real thing)
coal chamber - dark days
first death album:
at the gates - slaughter of the soul
and first brutal death album
(i think) cryptopsy - whisper supremacy
and the first album i ever owned was something when i was like 3. i don't know wat it was called, but it had a piece of cheese in the shape of the numeral three, and was a compilation which contained the banana boat song

Soilwork's Figure Number Five. I thought it would be as good as Steelbath Suicide, which my boyfriend made me sit through (and I ejoyed that album quite a lot). The first mix CD of metal I ever heard is lost somewhere in my room, but some of the tracks on it were:
Children Of Bodom - Chokehold
Rammstein - Du Hast
Blood Duster - Drink, Fight, Fuck
Destroyer 666 - lonewolfhunting
Satyricon - Angstridden
Superjoint Ritual - Fuck Your Enemy
Pantera - This Love
Megadeth - Peace Sells (But Who's Buying?)
Morbid Angel - Victorious March
Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix
Soilwork - Steelbath Suicide
Soilwork - Sadistic Lullaby
Oh, and the first "brutal" death metal album I bought was Deicide's Self Titled. Can't remember the first metal album I bought though.

The first album that I ever owned (by virtue of it being bought for me) was The Strangler's Greatest Hits.
The first album that I bought outright was Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion II.
The first metal album that I bought was Metallica - And Justice For All.
The first death metal album that I bought was Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness.

I think my first album was an Opeth one, but I'm hazy on which one. Regardless, it wasn't the catalyste that got me into metal. The next album I bought, The Sound of Perserverence, was.

He he, your still here Skuspar! Your tonsils devoid of any of Chris's 'interior decorating' fluids I assume? Just kidding man.
While I'm here I'll say my first album which I owned, not bought mind you, was either some sort of Beatles or...oh boy, I can't believe I'm gonna fucking say it...Micheal Jackson CD (There! I fucking said it!).
The first record I bought was, I believe, Nirvana's Bleach.
But I think I score some redemption points in that my second purchase (1st metal purchase) was Metallica's Ride the Lightening.

Mine was "Eaten back to Life" by cannibal corpse. I was already listening to some metal things, like Pantera and Cradle of Filth(if they count...) but once I bought that album my musical tastes took a revolutionary change for the better....or worse

"Eaten Back to Life" was a song off the album Vile.
Nirvana- In Utero and Stone Temple Pilots- Core were the first albums I ever acquired, simultaneously, by the way. First metal album? I believe is was Metallica- Ride the Lightning, but I can't seem to remember for sure. It was either Kill 'em All on tape or Ride the Lightning on CD. Either way it was Metallica and it was old.

Actually, it was just a complete mental fart. It's not a song on Vile at all, I was thinking of "Eaten from Inside". I'm just a little tired right now, and these titles are so fucking redundant I just fucked up. I know CC pretty well, though, any quick browse through my tabs would confirm that just nicely.

My 2 first death metal albums were Morbid Angel's Covenant and Cannibal Corpse's Vile since I had to give my brother-in-law the money to buy them both since I was about 9 or 10 at the time and couldn't just walk into a record store and ask for them. My first album ever was Pantera's Cowboys From Hell.

My first death metal album was Fear Factory- Concrete. It was funny because i never heard death metal before i bought that cd. I was in a cd store and saw it and i thought it was their newest album. So i put it in when i got home and i was like "what the fuck?". I read the cover and it said it was their first album released for the first time. And ive been listening to death metal ever since. It was funny because my sister was 7 at the time and she liked it also.

I remember why I wanted Morbid Angel because I saw the God of Emptiness video on Beavis and Butthead. I bought Cannibal Corpse because it was suggested as a must have or any album collection. I still have those albums and I still love them.

My dad gave me his copy of "Tomb of the Mutilated" after he found out I was interested in death metal.

I think my first DM album was either Cannibal Corpse - Live Cannibalism or Morbid Angel - Gateways To Annihilation. Unless you want to call Sepultura death metal, then it would be them

Same here! although it wasn't my first album. And that album turned me off the Offspring. Sent me on a search for heavier forms of music.........

i had all their albums until conspiracy of one, that annoyed me. but jeez their old stuff was good, tim and i discussed it. they touched some pretty brutal issues, from burning and raping 6 year olds (jennifer lost the war today), to police brutality (LAPD), to gangsters (come out and play). they sold out with ixnay on the hombre though, although "gone away" was a decent song. their old stuff is very respectable punk rock.

Nah, they sold out on americana definetly. Thier sound was purley punk on the first 2 (offspring, ignition) and on smash and ixnay they remained punk but got a little more abstract, and then on americana they went pop.

true, it was only then they started having issues like saving the planet (have you ever), rap wannabes (pretty fly) and so on. but as i said, their old stuff is really good.
