Resident Evil outbreak, I have, and is alright.

REsident Evil 4 I can't play cause I dont have a Gamecube, i'll have to wait for it to come out on PS2 ( they've already confirmed it, capcom is having a falling out with nintendo recently )
but ive heard nothing but good things from Resident evil 4, that its taken in a totally new direction and that the infected human type things are freaky, like 28 days later freaky, how they run fast and are smart and all that shit.

Silent Hill fucking rules, and Silent Hill 2 is my favorite of the series. When ti comes to action, the action can get hectic at times, but what I really dig about it is the creepy factor...running around in a hazy fog, little fucking children zombies, freaky shit like that.
I tend to like SH more then RE just for the plain psychological factor if nothing else.

My friend just bought it, I watched him play it.. looked cool. The graphics are AMAZING and it looks really fun.

I don't see the point in Res-Evil games anymore...the first two kinda made me jump a bit...but after playing Code-Veronica..twas just abit too boring.

I've been playing the Re series since the begining back in '96 so I have no choice but to buy and beat this game even though things haven't been going to smoothly with me and RE for quite some time. Apocalypse is the worst movie ever made period, I've seen things on MST3K better than that. But I heard RE4 is a totally new game, as it gameplay and creatures. What is RE without zombies? This better be a awesome game! Oh and SARS, that game is Fatal Frame. Now that's one of the scariest games I've played.

But back to Apocalypse. The directors could done something totally different and would have the same effect as the movie did and would save a buck or two. Here's what I mean: They could have bought a cheap video camera, as well as every game Resident Evil game ever made, and a bottle of lube. They could take those things back to their houses and spread the games out on their bed, lube themselves up, then fuck the shit out of the games. I mean totally rape them against their will. They could tape the whole thing and show it in every theater across the world. There's my two cents.

Yeah, the first one was better than apocolypse. I didn't think it was that great. It would have been better if they would have used the exact story line from the second and third games.

But I think the worst Re game has got to be either Survivor or Outbreak. Both sucked.... to me. But the best is Re2

Skuspar: To answer your question, RE4 was once stated to be a GC-exclusive and that it wouldn't come out on any other system, kinda like how OUtbreak file 2 is only for PS2.
But Capcom as of recently has been a little displeased with Hiroshi Yamauchi, and a few other big-wigs. They've recently gotten a little more adult, but it just seems it hasn't been fast enough for capcom's taste. They got to thinking and I assume somewhere in the line they thought " hey we used to make RE games for PS1, they sold like hot cakes even if they sucked...why not make the same strategy " so hence, RE4 will be coming out for PS2 later in the year, no exact release date yet though.

That doesn't exactly mean capcom will still leace the GC high and dry, just that they've been a little put off lately.

MyOwnSavior: I feel the same way, its like...now that i've played all the past ones, something MAKES me play them all now. lol@MST3K, i haven't seen the new RE movie, and theres a reason. I used that well spent money on a tooth brush and disposable shavers instead.

I think the worst RE game has to be Gaiden for the game boy color.

Hell yeah man. I'm not too big into video games, but I LOVE the silent hills. I have 1, 3 & 4. I played 2 but never got to buy it. 2 has the best story, 3 is fucking gruesome. those 2 are the best. 4 is cool but it just isn't as scary, it's more focused on killing things rather than being scary and fucking with your head. 1 is cool but it's for playstation 1 and therefore has shitty graphics but it's still fun to play. When you play them all it's cool how the stories connect too. It's about cool shit too, like cults, religion, and all that fun stuff.
