I just smoke weed, years after I thought the novelty would wear off it seems I keep loading bowls. I have signs of carpel tunnel deveoping from playing drums and probably from all that tremelo picking over the years so it seems to help with the pain. I can hardly play drums for 30 minutes before I start wincing over my wrist.

I took a course in health class during my freshmen year about drugs, not only did it exaggerate the dangers of pot like every health book does, ours was WRONG. It told us that pot raises blood pressure, yet it most definietly lowers your blood pressure, yet thats not always a good thing.

Also, our health/gym teacher was a fucking dousche bag. Our class was playing basketball one time, and one of the kids was playing fine and participating ect., and then when he was being good humored he laughed and the dousche health teacher said "HEY, STOP MAKING A MOCKERY OF THE GREAT GAME OF BASKETBALL, SIT DOWN!". Also, when we were playing kick ball at the end of the year, when he was telling us to get in position, he yelled stuff like "That's right, hurry it up, mac and cheese, salt and pepper, rock n' roll!"

Well, as everyone here knows, I do drink but never drive or get into a auto with someone that has a drink. Do play it safe if you can. I went home for the first time in over 2 years on leave from the Navy and over half my friend are fucked on crack now. I don't know what to do or how to think about them because all they want to do is crack.

damn, i feel bad for you. i only have one friend who has a problem with something, but its only weed. i guess the only real problem is that he will never have spending money. on top of that, he influences me in a bad way cause hes always smoking so when i hang out with him i cant help it . that would be last night, but i told myself this morning that it was the last time, for now.

I only have a drinking problem, but im starting to cut back. until a week ago id drink vodka every day of the week but one. this past week i only drank on tuesday and thursday. weekends are way to hard to be sober on. ive set a rule though: no drinking on sunday, monday, wednesday, or thrusday. but if its an occasion such as empty house, friends around, day off from work... then ill drink for that. blah blah blah who cares!!!

I really don't have a problem with people who decide not to do drugs or even drink. The problem I have, is that someone may perceive me in one stereotypical light if they find out if I smoke pot. I think the points in my life where I had consumed the most drugs/alcohol, had to be when I first tried them.

If I believed in an afterlife, I probably wouldn't be doing drugs for fun, but hey, that's not the direction I'm taking. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is picking up on the overly - exaggerated facts, labels, and worst of all: statistics, all dished out by anti-drug campaigns. One that 'really' gets on my nerves, are the anti-drug freevibe commercials. Just don't watch TV, it's bad enough just seeing that crap. But at least those commercials are against alcohol as well.

Illegalities seem to be what's wrong with the country, well at least concerning personal usage of drugs. I 'really' can't think of any reason as to why it's their business anyway. I understand that it's a privilege to drive, so I wouldn't even dare to go behind the wheel while impaired.

I have experimented with many forms of alcohol, weed, dxm, and shrooms.

Certain drugs may have effects on you later on in life, but if that means I'm sixty and unable to acquire the same train of thought/energy I once had when I was 16, I don't think I'm really going to care. It goes for having a wrinkly tattoo by that age as well. I have also realized that you need not to look any further than weed, to have a good time. Others I merely have tried as they were considerably less - risky to consume.

Why not do drugs? I've got a fiend who used to do a lot of drugs and he had a few comments as to why he gave up certain drugs. They went something like this:

Cannabis - the reason he got into taking harder drugs and it turned him into a jibbering buffoon. He also spent a night in the cells for possession which he says wasn't pleasant at all.

Acid - eventually he got completely freaked out from taking tabs.

Ecstacy - have you seen the faces that an ecstacy user pulls? One tablet and they transform into the world gurning champion and inexcusably feel the necessity to furnish themsleves with glowsticks.

Cocaine - made him more aggressive. He got into fight after fight when he used coke whereas he's remarkably docile in the scrapping department these days.

Heroin - if you want to end up looking like Golem, go ahead and use it.


I've never once felt the urge to even smoke never mind take drugs. I see drug users every time I'm out on the town and they wear their habits on their sleeves as if it is a badge of honour. Drug culture is abhorrent and those that peddle it as 'cool' are equally so.

I've never tried to pressure my friends into using drugs, nor have I even brought up the subject during conversation. I'm 35 and I have a LOT of life experience with drugs, alcohol and etc. And I will say this: If we're talking about "soft" drugs, namely pot... It's really much less destructive than something like alcohol overall. At least in terms of fucking craziness in general. Drunkenness is way more destructive and violent than weed. On the other hand, weed can really sap your desire and/or ability to accomplish ANYTHING. But in general, far more worse things happen when drunk then when stoned. When you're high... you just wanna fuckin chill, and trip in your own world. Mushrooms...never cared for 'em -- basically they made me wanna puke (because they taste like SHIT). Acid... it's a toss up whether you're gonna have a good trip or bad. In .. like mebbe 10 times trippin' I never had a real GOOD trip, mostly mediocre at best. Coke -- sucks because there's never enough to keep you happy for long. Same goes for crack, crank, etc. In the end, alcohol... can kill you -- because you do REALLY STUPID shit when seriously under the influence. Pot is probably the most harmless, but also the most likely to sap away any desire to do anything productive BESIDES play the guitar (or... insert your instrument here). Yes, it lends to creative endeavors, but if you have anything important to do, like support a family...fuckin' forget it. In the end, you can still be creative without it. Bottom line... It's all ok in moderation. Anything you abuse.. in the end -- it abuses you. Don't kid yourself. Well anyway, that's my$.02 and I have a lot of life experience to back it up. I guess I am ramblin' so I'm done, but that's my opinion for whoever cares to read it...

Anything in large amounts, or in the wrong situations, can have very negitive results. Some substances should never be used as a drug in the first place, but it is what some humans do. I drink and that is all I will ever do. I've seen some friends ruin themselves with drugs and as of late the rest of them are going that way too. If anyone is going to do drugs then I hope they never lose control of their life. It is a personal choice if you are going to do them so I really hate the fact that addicts blame it one someone else once their life is fucked.

I don't drink - I don't feel that it'd be "fair" to drink. I wanna get through this shit on my own, it'd feel like cheating to rely on alcohol to get through. Drinking "socially", "just to loosen up a bit", goes under the "cheating" for me. I think that basically, if you like the confidence you get when you drink, enable yourself to be that confident without alcohol, instead of relying on it for that.
I do also think that one reason I've stayed away from alcohol is that I don't trust myself to actually remain "sane" and "in control". One drop of alcohol and I'd want another and another, and so on, and I lose control of myself and punch whatever I see (not really, but you get the point, I suppose).
Keep in mind though, I've never been drunk so I don't know what it's like.

I don't do any "harder" drugs, for the same reasons as alcohol, ie cheating and loss of self control.

Yeah, I am a regular at blistering and this place is tame as can be compared to over there. I smoke weed, and I know it doesn't benefit me really, but it also doesn't get in the way of every day life or work, and I know very few people like that.
