New members get bashed because the clearly marked threads informing them of the rules of this new place they're entering get ignored. If you don't like seeing new members of forums get bashed, get off the internet. It happens everywhere. There has to be some kind of method to keep away some of the trash in an open forum, and this tends to be the method. It's stupid, but you can ignore it. You can prove yourself and get through the fairly minor hazing. Or you can let some online bullshit penetrate your skin and go running to your brother.

It's as simple as this: Your expected to read the rules and know them. If you don't, the regulars are going to let out their anger on you. A flaming dosen't mean he can't post anymore, by the way. And if he was "hurt", then this probably isn't the place for him.
