My friends mom died. This is so fucking shitty, he has no one left except his sister man. I cant think of a worse way to start the holidays...

Yeah, what i hate is the cold freezing and drying the shit out of my knuckles, so that when i close my fist my knuckles start bleeding. Today's been the worst day with about 8-10 different cuts appearing on my hands from dehydration. WOO WINTER!!!!

To top it off i work in retail, so i probably look like some diseased leper handing people their change and purchases back over the counter. I haven't shaved recently either to try and thicken my beard in certain areas, so all in all i'm probably not the nicest looking customer service dude! Heh....which isn't that bad after all....

i remember something similar that happened in september. it was my birthday and my friend had called to wish me and he gave me the news that another friend of mine's dad had passed away the previous night...sad.

December seems to be a shitty month in most years, I don't know what it is. maybe its because I expect a lot of it or something.

Some rough times going on for some of you. That's a darn shame, but life really doesn't have a calender of when things should or shouldn't happen. It still sucks though.

cxmachine and anyone else--When you're going out with someone and you really hit it off there's all these magic feelings going on that some people don't figure out for years and years. It's a chemical thing loaded with seratonin and dopamine in the brain. You feel on top of the world and things are great. It's like a honeymoon period. When things start to de-chem in your body those feelings get a little less potent. That's when the breakup usually happens and reality shows itself. One or the other says feelings have changed. But they're supposed to. If you start off as friends and end up in a relationship at least you know what it's going to be like when things do settle down because you've had that experience beforehand. Sometimes when you have a friendship and magic like that it lasts for years and years. Sometimes it's forever. Just be glad you didn't walk down an aisle, have a few kids, divorce because you and they weren't really compatible after all and get stuck with alimony and child support to break you.

Well, I wish someone had told me about it 100 years ago. It's funny how things happen sometimes. Me and the old guy got close after being frinds for a long time because my grandpa and his grandma died within a few days of each other. And a family friend of my grandparents' wife died and grandma ended up marrying him. She and grandpa were married 52 years and she and Roy about 7, I think.

December is just like any other month: extremely shitty things happen all the time, it's just that we have such high expecations of it being such a wonderful month, full of the "Christmas Spirit" that when bad things do happen, we just notice them a whole lot more, and feel more depressed as the expectation is shattered. blargh.

Hey Andrewc...listen to me bro. It does'nt matter how hard i gets at times, it is definitely not worth ending your life over. I'm not trying to patronize you, but I have seen some very shitty stuff as well. I have thought about it too before....but than I stopped to think about how my family and loved ones would feel. I would hate to leave them in a helpless state wondering why I would do that to myself. This in-turn is why I love metal so much....it keeps me going.

I sorta feel yea, I get the flu every holiday season, I'm sick with one right now...
My mom always has some huge bitch fit with my dad, my brothers always do some dumb shit and have to be rushed to the hospital...last thing they did was go down a hill on a bike IN THE SNOW, and he slipped, smacked his head against the pavement, and the bike ran him over, sending my other brother and brother's friend into the grass...my bro had a skull fracture and almost died. And yes, there were three people on one bike.

I, myself ALMOST cut off my finger in the x-mas of '95. It clung onto my by a thread of muscle and flesh...very fun to poke at, but they re-attatched it. So Imma happy camper...well, not purely happy...you get the point.
