yeah, it is!! I got this one used, it's a year old, you won't believe the guy I sold it off..
he had 3 range rovers, a big house and a room full of incredible gear, Soldano's, a Rivera, an Orange amp and even a Diezel VH4(s?)
He was selling the powerball because he bought an Engl special edition. The powerball was the backup of his (hugeeee) rack, it never left the flightcase it came in. I got the flightcase with it, plus the custom engl footswitch.
normally a powerball is like 1800. USD, new, at least. those switches are 120, flightcase well over 200 here (with wheels, double lining and a 1he rack space for a tuner)
And I bought it for one thousand... Allright, its still a lot of money but the guy sold it because he didn't even use it, prolly filthy rich too judging by his cars/house/gear (prs guitars too...)
I sold my rack setup for 800 including the flightcase, so it didn't cost me much overall but tone-wise, its a huge step forward. Had a great deal on it, you don't see them used much and this one is basically new |

I just saw the funniest thing ever. I was flipping through the channels and I stopped on ESPN to check if there was a good football or hockey game on, but it was ice skating. clubshows definetly have the best sound here man, depends on the soundguys and shit too, but the big clubs here have excellent sound.
Some clubs are actually build for a good sound here, its all good.

Ill might get an ENGL down the road, im never selling my 5150 though. It has my perfect tone, such saturated distortion mmmm Seriously if someone stole my 5150 id cry.. it has upgraded screen grid reisistors so now i cna run el34 if i want, it has the lower gain mod (which just cleans it up a bit) and the bias mod.
and with my BBE.. ahh i love it.

Indeed and very nice amp, expensive as hell too. It was easy as hell to dial in a tone i liked, but once again... EXPENSIVE AS FUCK.
I doubt id ever forget about my 5150, i love the thing to death. I probably have $350 worth of mods done to it. I just have a hard time justifying the price of any amp over $1000 im a poor sob

same here man, I was way lucky with the powerball.... and I sold my rack for it, else I couldn't afford it, plus I allready like my savage better then the rack...
you guys are screwed, used engl are probably never around. same here too, but germany is close and they have some every now and then. I was really fast in responding to this advert though, he placed it the day before.
5150's are not my thing, distortion on it doesn't sound too tight to me and the cleans on it aren't great. But its a bang-for-buck ratio amp I guess. I heard it can be badass when modded, so yours probably doesn't sound crap.

Man I am pissed. I got punched saterday night/sunday mourning. I had to wait until today to get an x-ray to find out it is broken in 2 places, and now I have to wait 8 days until they do anything about it because the specialist is on holiday |

Some guitarists forget that it's their job to play a role in a band and not the band's job to exist so they can show off their chops. You can shred your balls off, but if you don't have a good song around it that it works in as a necessary, if decorative, part, it's mere ornamentation, and will sound like it. It's surprising how many guitarists don't take note of this.
I can play the music I like; I don't need to do any of that trick playing.

like Michael Angelo, he's super-fast but it's all the same to me. I'de rather hear Randy Rhoads... Maybe a bit less of a showoff, but his stuff is allways melodic and catchy
