Whats more, there are heaps of games that have this sort of thing, i have an oldish (well its getting there anyway) strategy game, there was nothing more ammusing that trying to plot some hardcore ambushes, only to have some abstract grind song come on and distract you completely.

i don't see the point in these delayed releases any more, sure a year ago it may have made a difference, but now people have DVD burners and they can download the PS2 games (or X-Box games for that matter) and burn them. The best way they can do things is a complete simultaneous release.

Oh and you think you have problems whith releasing stuff in general. When GTA3 first came out in AUS it was out for about a week, then they took it off the market and removed the whore interaction from it, to re-release it about a month later. Last game i was really waiting for took about 3 months between the official release date, and when the censors finally finished with the bastard. By this time the thing was released fully patched.

There is internet censorship even, with Australian hosts required to remove any material that gets dubbed "harmful to minors". The Australian goverment is looking at an internet censorship system called PICS to control the use of Australian internet beyound the reach of end users. There is currently no constitution to defend free expression in Australia so we can't scream like the Americans about it being "unconstitutional".

Yeah, censorship sucks, but I'm a savage free expression hippie. I recently spoke to a few people who I normally don't associate with, and coming from a circle of people where no subject is taboo I accidentally offended some of them. Some things they didn't know, such as whether masturbation is healty or not, and the fact that they supressed that discussion very soon after it came up made me realise that many, many people are not very comfortable with things like that and they see themselves as the model of what other people should be comfortable with, and they don't want things that make them uncomfortable being available because they like their life easy.
