I haven't been to mp3.com in a long time, and when I finally went there recently it didn't work. Is it me or did something happen?

it helped me find a lot of new bands through the similar artist search. i would just type "in flames" and get hundreds of melodic bands. I found some good stuff there. But that was the old mp3. The new has about 5% of what i could find on the old one. |

Agreed.
And yes, Vivendi bought Mp3.com and started charging people to download stuff. I found Agalloch there. And alot of other great music.
So I can at least say that they did contribute to me.
