OK, recently I've been addicted to these sites http://www.suprnova.org/ and http://crazymazey.kicks-ass.org/forum/ ...because with a program called BitTorrent you can download basically anything you want(especially from the first site) and 95% of it works. For example, I've downloaded the whole Slayer Discography(800 plus mbs) from the supernova site, as well as the new Vehemence soundtrack(I don't have money), along with countless movies, games and South Park episodes. The second site is mainly for Horror Movies, I mean, it must have everything.

Anyway, what are some of your favorite B movies?

I've only recently watched Dead Alive, Killer Klowns From Outspace, PumpkinHead, CreepShow, Bad Taste, Battle Royale(its japanese, but it kicks fucking nigger ass), Ice Cream Man, all kinds of other stupid shit...I've got all these movies from these sites, get bittorrent and go start downloading now....OR DIE!

Actually, beleive it or not, there is no catch. These sites appreciate donations but I've downloaded several gigs worth of stuff for free. It's all about sharing(well, if you want too). And I haven't downloaded a bad file yet frmo either of the sites.(It's a huge bitch when you download a huge movie and it's the wrong one)


My superfast download wasn't from Bittorrent, I think it was from download.com...I have a downloaded a program called Azureus which seemed to make BT download faster..I dunno though.(Most of my stuff goes like 10-60kps)

the way bit-torrents work is that you download the file, and while you download something, other people download from you up to what you already have, imagine the thing you are getting is broken up into a set of numbers from 1 to 10, if you are at 7, you will be downloading from people who are up to 9, while people still at 3 will be downloading off you

I just watched the orginal Dawn of the Dead(I own Night of the Living Dead and rented Day of the Dead)..it was pretty decent, although the "blood" looks like paint...very different from the newer one(which I think is one of the best zombie movies made) but they still use a mall for cover.


Although once you've seen a few zombie type movies, you've basically seen them all.

I downloaded the program, clicked on a link in the supernova site, and it doesn't download. It just sits there saying "connecting to peers." So I went to the Bittorrent web site under the FAQ, and I see my problem answered. Yet I have no fucking clue what it means....what is a tracker, and all that other stuff?

youl keep uploading at the same rate (some bit-torrent programs let you set the upload) its just that the person downloading will get it faster, or you will be sending it to a different person
i dont think bit-torrents are a verry good way of doing that sort of thing, but if you understand it and are prepared to wait then go for it

Well, I'm wired in with the University network. So yeah, I have high speed. Is it because I'm uploading a movie that hasn't been uploaded yet before? Or that shouldn't matter...Either way, it's annoying. It keeps saying that I'm downloading AND uploading....0 Kib/s. WTF is up with that?! just got on the bittor bandwagon yesterday after using winmx for a few years. i'm using the bittor exe that came off of the bittorrent.org website (i think). it kinda sucks because there aren't any features like adjustable bandwidth and stuff but i always see reference to that kinda thing in the forums. what bittor client do others here use? i've seen several ones on the net like flash, splash, shadows. which one is the best? also my dl and ul speed fluctuate pretty wildly. i guess from what i gleaned from a few sites, the more people that ul from me the faster my dl will be?

im also interested in the b horror movies. my favorites are the japanese ones like takashi miike's (ichi the killer, full metal yakuza, fudoh), also the all night long trilogy, riki o, wild zero, versus, the guinea pig series, etc... fucking cheesy shit, but a lot of fun.

ive tried both bit tornado and azureus now. i think i like azureus a little better though because of all the features. the only thing is i had to update my java on my comp because azureus was taking up like 99 % of my ram. now it works great though. anyways, thanks for the advice. im still trying to get the hang of this. i havent seen any mind blowing speeds yet, but i think thats because im downloading some of the more rare stuff. they dont have as many users. i bet with some of the more popular vids, the DLs will be faster because of the greater number of users. i guess my avg right now is about 15 Kb/s.

here's another couple of recommendations for gore hounds. i got these both from suprnova today. evil dead trap and bone sickness. the first is jap shock and the second is an amateur made by this dude who directed wrote starred and did all the fx. both are pretty much plotless, with tons of blood, and gratuitous tits. get them, laugh, and have fun.
