Yeah, thats right ! There´s nothing like a good german beer. But Whiskey Cola is nice too. I don´t know if you know that in your countries but a very popular drink here in Germany is Vodka Red Bull. It is very cool too !

BEER AND STOUT!!!

I'll drink any beer, but my preference is Fosters. Guinness is the only stout that I'll drink - I tried Murphy's but it can't compare. I don't mind a slight daliance with spirits either and these are some of my favourites:

Bacardi and coke
JD and Red Bull (if you think vodka and Red Bull is nice, try this)
Maker's Mark and coke
Amaretto

Amaretto is amazing and just because I love you guys so much, here's an ice cream cocktail that you can make that uses it:

1 part Amaretto
1 part Blue Curacao
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Just put these into a blender with some ice and blend til it's at the consistency you want. Et viola! Stay tuned for more cocktails...

I cant say i like how it tastes. I dont like how vodka tastes, but it is my favorite . I guess i might compare it to vodka, maybe its just how they're both clear, then again, gin is clear and completely different. but had it 2 years ago, and it was similar.

vodka and tequila don't taste alike at all IMO, but dude, just taste it for yourself and find out, theres no way I could properly explain how it tastes.

Yeah, German beer is the best, US beer blows. Big Bear 40's for $2.50 each, that pleases me just fine. I had Killians on tap last weekend and that wasn't too tough to take either. King Cobra malt liqour, for damn sure. It tastes just like beer, but without the awful bitter aftertaste, so it fucking rules. I also like Vodka with Pepsi, orange juice, or just by itself. That being said I only drink socially and never really get drunk, although a light buzz isn't out of the question.

I've got a pretty good, anti-hangover routine.
I stop drinking about an hour before bed, and plow a shitload of water in me.
Take 3 headache pills, brush my teeth for 5 minutes, gargle with mouthwash , and eat some bread. The next morning, get up and eat breakfast and you'll feel great the whole next day.

Yeah, water and bread is great. I take some headache pills before as well. But definately stopping the drinking a while before sleep is necessary. If you pass out from drinking, a hangover is pretty sure to come.

1. It gave me the worst hangover I have ever had.
2. It sent me so insane that I rowed and split with my ex-girlfiend.

I've never drunk it since. Besides, it's fucking disgusting!

Drink about a pint of water before you go to bed and you'll be right as rain in the morning. You get a head ache because the beer dehydrates you: for every pint of lager you drink, your body will release (usually in the form of urine and sweat) 1.5 pints of water. A pint will usually be enough to see you through to the morning.

Strangely, about two days ago (after i made this thread) I fell in love with beer!!! I fuckin love it as of now. liquor still makes me feel really good, but I just love drivin down the road to that minor-run drivethrough and buying a couple of 24s. Then after i drink those, stealing a few of my stepdads beers. haha. Id change my vote if i could!

EDIT: Dont get me wrong though, I still LOVE liquor . The only problem is when i want liquor I have to drive to town, pick up this 28 year old dude i know, drive back to this other town, get the stuff, and then take that guy home. Timedragon: Stella Artois is a premium lager and so has a higher alcohol content than most other normal lagers (Fosters, Carling, etc). Despite boastings to the contrary, most Brits cannot handle their beer which results in a mindless confrontational attitude (vis-a-vie drunken football hooliganism).

In Europe, people tend to be more responsible with their drinking, but in Britain it seems to be a competition (this is why I say most [scally] Brits can't handle alcohol). Stella just happens to be the quickest medium that these primates opt for.

And it gets very easy to get used to because, you drink a pepsi when youre thirsty, but, you drink a beer because it has alcohol and you want to feel good (at least thats why you drink it at first, whether or not you like the taste). Then eventually you like the taste, and you can just drink it when youre thirsty, regardless of the alcohol. thats how it went for me anyway. I still do agree that it is an aquired taste, maybe just in some ways though.

BassBehemoth: yeah, its just easier to get drunk on liquor, but we ALL know that. And from my experience, mixing the two does get you very wasted, and a TERRIBLE hangover... which lasted throughout the entire next day, at the movies and all. I couldnt eat a bite of food without throwing up. i may have drank wine as well that night.

And by the way, does anybody else here hate those flavored beers? i havnt ever seen anyone mention those, man, those are gross.

Yeah, I've tried a banana-flavoured beer - it wasn't very nice, really strange tasting. I've seen honey-flavoured and raisin-flavoured beer, too. I doubt I'd try the raisin variety although I imagine the honey one to be quite nice.
