I wouldn't be surprised. Darko (with all due respect), likes Tom Morello because he can make any sound he wants on his guitar. On one song he makes a turntable sound (scratching the strings).

Me, on the other hand, would prefer the band to just use the instruments he tries to imitate, rather than rely on so many effects that the guitar is no longer detectable. Play some guitar for fuck sakes (IMO)

Tom Morello dosen't have a huge arsonal of effects. Hes got a wah, flanger, delay, and whammy pedal (Tom's set up). I think its amazing what aresnal of sounds he can create with just those, and can even bring it beyond recodnition of guitar. I can't think of one other band that does this, and if you can; lets juxstapose.

Its so simple to take a sound clip of a bag-pipe, water droplets, turn table, harmonica, saw, ect and place it into a song. But to be able to make all of the above (and much, much more) come out of one instrument that isn't synthesized or mixed with studio effects and have it melt in so well into a song is pure innovation.

He isn't technically impared either. Alot of live songs will have an improvised solo mixing talented guitar work along with his guitar minipulation.

Like him or not, he can bring the sound of a guitar to its highest platue. Hes got a bone crunching tone too.
