Music Besides Metal
What are some bands you like that aren't heavy metal?
I personally have a soft spot for classic rock:
Pink Floyd
From Autumn To Ashes
Led Zeppelin (they ain' metal, sorry folks)
Eighteen Visions

Heavy metal is another sub-genre. It is basically old metal (Metallica).
But music I like besides metal are:
Rock & Roll-AC/DC, Led Zep, ect.
Punk (not street punk)- Dead Kennedies, The Casualties(I think), old Misfits, ect.
Jazz is okay but I never listen to it
There's more but I can't think right now.

Type O Negative
Pink Floyd
Harmonium
Groovy Aardvark
No Use For A Name (old)
Pennywise
Lagwagon
Jughead's Revenge
Good Riddance
Snuff
and some other bands that I can't think of right now.

metal=life
But i also don't mind some classical, i'd never go out and bye some, metal always comes first, but my dad plays lots, and i just like to chill and listen.
And, don't kill me, but Trance. Only when i'm stoned! i swear!!! And the above rule applys to it aswell.

i dont need to buy anything other than metal cds, if i need to chill i listen to an acoustic track or one of burzum's ambient tunes. (that does not mean daudi baldirs or hlidhskjalf, it means the solo tracks from his metal albums)
but ill tell you, when im depressed and i throw on "channelling the power of souls," it almost makes me want to do a switch and listen to ambient as well as metal.

If I don't listen metal music, I usually listen Ambient. Ambient is very brilliant music and it is usually quite atmospheric, dark/drone ambient masters Raison d'Être or Lustmord are definitely the best ones. I also listen some Folk music, mostly Neofolk or similiar sub-genres of it, Blood Axis and Tenhi are very good ones from that genre. Sometimes I listen classical too, mostly Wagner or Strauss.

This is different Trans, it doesn't say favorite, and that last one is dead!!!
Dudes, I'm suprised. I considered Hatebreed and Tool metal. And Alice In Chains I considered metal too! I like all of them. And Trendkill's list rules.
