Mein Kampf is pretty good.
Right now, Hustler. And yes I'm READING it. This one girl is a hotel manager and she sleeps with every hot and buff guy that stays in. And she doesn't like to be tied down By tied down I mean in a relationship. I'm sure she gets tied down to the bed...no pics of it though

the last book I read was while I was at my dad's joint, the only half decent book there was a clockwork orange, and when I'd finished that I had nothing better to do than read some 'clan of the cavebear' shit. It was tolerable... until she fell in love

It's pretty obvious! Mein Kampf was Hitler's vision and philosophy - something which our grandfathers fought and died for in order to prevent from becoming a reality. I've never read the book, and I never will as if I were to do so I would effectively be dancing on my grandfather's grave.

My auntie just sent me a big, fat, black book! The complete works of Gogol, hoo yeah! Still smells like the bookshop half a world away. Just read one of the short stories, "Nose". I'm going to read "Viy" next, it's suposed to be really scary, and mom recomended "Horrible Revenge" because it reminds her of me. This book is going to keep me very busy.

Right now im reading Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. Short stories kick ass. Its easier for me to read those, cause if a certain one sucks, you can just skip it. But if you buy a book and it turns out that it sucks, thats just a waste.

Novels aren't that expensive - especially if you buy them online. As BoC said, university textbooks are real expensive. I paid Ł42 (~$70US, ~$100AUS) for a Calculus textbook that I only looked in about 10 times in 3 years. Worth it though...

My folks buy books all the time so I just borrow anything that they're not reading. I'm too lazy to go to a library, but usually my parents will have a copy of anything I want to read.

Poe's stories are fucked.
I've got "Edgar Allen Poe: Complete Tales & Poems". great book. Have only gotten about 1/2 the way through it though, because it uses old english, and i have to check the dictionary about once per page.

Great book.
I've read two of Michael Moore's books. Stupid white men and I forget the name of the other one. Stupid White Men is an excellent book. (And the facts have been checked, everything in it is true)

Yeah, but the coke was hidden on the side of the ship. That technique is used by traffickers without the sailors knowing it. However, Paul-Asshole-Martin is still a crook.

I'm trying to catch up on The Dark Tower by Stephen King. I'm on book 4 but I haven't read it for like a year. Don't know why. I think I'll go read it some more now.

shhh, that arguement doesn't go well around here. (though i agree).
No offense, but if you didn't vote, you've really got no right to complain about the government.
I was debating between ndp and green. But i went green.

Spot on! Yes, m=l, I have read it. It leaves out alot of significant detail, as [edit:] THE published version of the book is retardedly abridged. But I don't hate it because of that fact - John said it all for me.

Just picked up a doozy: 'Strumpet City' by some depressio Mick named James Plunkett. Honestly, if this was any more miserable it'd be about Welsh people mired in their own pointlessness & wondering why they weren't as exciting as Irish factory workers circa 1907.
Read it. Powerful stuff.
Also read Naked Lunch, by William Burroughs. It's a nice, linear story & a good, easy, simply-written introduction into moral writings of the 20th century. Honest.

Just finished "Simple Taoism". It wasn't bad, I'm just not into letting your insticnts and intuition tottally run your life. The concept of Taoism is good though.

I just got a greek book "In Defense of
The Heathens"(well,that's my translation)
and "The Shining" by Stephen King.
I started reading the first one, which is quite good
though a bit subjective(it's about how Hellhnes
and their culture were treated by Christians in
the Byzantine ages mostly).

Yes, reading this book is bit difficult, because it takes time to understand his views, I am now trying again to read this because before I really didn't understand it. Though, I think that he is trying to undermine through his philosophy humanity ethics, and mostly of them, christianity.

Haven't read that one, but have read plenty of exerts from it. Although some of his views are askew he's got a great view on how to cultivate problems into usefulness and a very poetic way of explaning philosophy.
