Doom 3 is comin' out soon and I'm so pumped. I'm tryin' to grab as many of the old games as possible. Can anyone find the ROM of Doom II on the GBA? I have 45 minutes to grab it or I have to wait like 15 hours to get back online.

Just download a GBA emulator (google will have them) and the game for GBA through PC, drag the game over the GBA and let go...

Once you play halo for more than an hour, and pay attention to the story line which I am sure none of you ignorant fools did, you get totally hooked. You can play multiplayer with friends for hours. When you play it online using XBconnect, there is no better multiplayer.

Single player is also great. The story is better than your average science fiction, and gets you so pumped for halo 2

I would even say:

Halo> Doom 3

the story line is decent.. but i can guarentee DOOM III will have a bunch better storyline. Halo's multiplayer isent great at all, the level's are small and very simple.. they offer no strategy at all. Im sure once you play a REAL FPS then your opinion on Halo will greatly change. No console will ever be able to produce an enjoying multiplayer experience.

Halo's levels are simple but perfect. You realize how smart they were after hours and hours of playing. Blood Gulch for example is the perfect CTF map. A lot of games have huge levels, but they make no sense at all.

I guess we will find out when Halo 2 and Doom 3 come out neh?

the best multiplayer game of all time is Tribes for the PC, try haveing a 64 player game of that over a network and then tell me that Halo's limited wepons are good

whatever, i will just stick with halo.

I know you will just argue against it but i've played many games that have lots of weapons but i found that having less is better. You get to know how to use every weapon in different situations, not just use the biggest one you can find. It isnt "whoever starts shooting first wins" game, you have to aim for the head with a lot of the weapons. It is nice to only be able to carry 2 at a time as well, because you have to make decisions, and not just have 10 different guns with unlimited ammo that all shoot 10 rockets at once and kill the enemy in one shot

i found the guns to be a who can fire off the most ammo first wins, if you want a game when you need skill whit the guns you get, try Operation Flashpoint, its a cold war based game, and its as realistic as all hell, as in if you get hit by one bullet you are dead, or pretty damm close to it

oh and i will remind you that i think that Halo is a great game for a console too

Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising can have 100+ people play.

Planetside can have 200 people from each empire (their are 3) on a continent at a time. So that mean 600 people can be fighting at once.

Both those games use MUCH more skill than Halo, dont let you carry 15 weapons that shoot 15 rockets, and acually encourage teamwork.

You were using the wrong guns. You also have to maneuver right and left, it makes you very hard to hit. Use the pistol! They alone, make it a great game

It is pretty unbalanced but I truly think it made the game quite a bit better. You can really get to be the best at Halo by mastering the pistol. I remember some people could get 3 shot kills nearly every time.

i have to agree, i played through halo and found it average at best, its multiplayer is only fun when drunk (then again what isn't). doom 3 has a better atmosphere and i'm looking forward to having something scare me. and i mean come on its fucking doom.
