I'm with Trendk' on that one. Sports require movement and I'm against that as much as possible --unless it's fishing-- which I love to bank fish. Some of the stupid stuff they have on tv that are more funny stunt oriented I might watch, but as far as mainstream sports, forget it. I don't mind others watching though.

Sports are just a hobby. Some people can watch others play football, like we goto shows to see people play music. We play music ourselves because it is one of our hobbies just like jocks doing as one of their's. It's just for the sake of fun.
Personally I don't like sports. Soccer is fun to play but I will NEVER watch a full game on tv unless I have to. Personally I don't like the sports threads but I will try to ignore them, maybe post something stupid every now and then but still ignore them.

I like playing some sports, but i never like watching them until it's down to the championships. then i might watch it, 'cause you got the 2 best teams of the season playing, and that's more exciting.
I only like playing sports that don't have lots of contact; make fun of me you will, but i don't like being touched by people that aren't sexy women.
I especially like Baseball, and Cricket, 'cuase i like hitting the ball real far, and you only run in short bursts, unlike Soccer you have to run your ass off like the whole time.
I like most games with nets: Volleyball, Badminton, Volley Tennis, Tennis. Tennis is a maybe though. When i last played it, it was real hard. I always hit the ball too hard or too soft, and again there's the running factor.

Minature golf is the only sport i play. Im damn good at it. Alot of thinking invovled if you goto a good course (plenty of them in winconsin dells)
I used to watch Basketball when i was young and the Bulls were the shit... then jordan left and blah blah blah. Now i dont know how i could sit down and watch 3 hrs of black people bouncing a ball around.

Pool/Billiards is not a sport, it's fun, but not a sport. Golf, despite public opinion, is not a sport. You don't run. You hardly even move. All you do is try to hit a light, weak ball to a certain spot. I'm not saying that it doesn't require skill, just that it's not a sport. Anything that old men can be professionally competitive in is NOT a sport. Just because something comes on EPSN or is covered in ESPN news does not make it a sport. If that were the case then spelling would be a sport, with spelling bees being the playoffs, I suppose. |
