Some poeple just don't get it, but I don't care. As long as they don't try to ram their veiws about metal down my throat I'm fine with their existences, because they make me a living contradiction to their point.

Like in high school. Poeple had to be careful about how they labled me, because running your mouth with conviction about someone/thing you don't really know about will make you look like a dumbass in the end. I was called a dope smoking low life a few times in high school, because of my friends and life style, but the truth was I had a higher GPA then 95% of the rest of the school. Even some teachers decided from day one I was worthless and treated me different. Most poeple were smart enough to learn who I was before ever prejudging me. Metalhead doesn't=low life, dumbass, drug using, sex crazed, criminal.

yea, i know exactly what you mean. People call our group the stoner metalhead slackers. I dont really smoke at all. And the i know for a fact the people who label us have smoked way more than anyone of my friends or me.

I know, some of those poeple that would never talk to me would one day come to me and ask, "you know where I can score some smoke, Buddy"? They never talked to me before in my life and all of a sudden, out of view from everyone else, they ask me for weed assuming I'm a junky or something. I was the wrong person to ask because drugs were not for me... Now some of my friend might have been able to help them, but I think they would have laughed at them and sold them lawn clippings instead.

I really don't care what other people think, especially people who can't spell, compose a proper sentence, use proper grammar, or type in anything but all caps. I hardly care about what most people think in general, because most people are ridiculously stupid.

I dont like when they so blindly badmouth metal. I understand that they will never understand. But i have convinced a few people to at least appreciate the effort it takes to play such music. If you can get them to see past the vocals, in most cases, they will hear good music playing somewhere back there
especially if it is a melodic band. melodic stuff can grab almost anyone. But overall, i dont care what they think. I only give them a taste of great keyboard, or guitar solo, so they will fuckin shut up and quit bitching about how it is "noise". And I'd like to add the fact that most of the people who bitch about good music, unknowingly listen to the worst form of what they call "music". they dont really make me mad, but i will always know how diffucult it is to make good music, and i will know how simple and thoughtless it is to make what everyone else finds to be so "in".
