Moshing Rant (East v West?)
There's something about moshing I gotta get off my chest.
Now, I don't know if it's because times have changed, or because I moved from the east coast (USA) to the west coast....
but moshers out here/these days fucking SUCK!
1) Hardly anybody moshes. Fine, whatever... but it's rare to get a good crowd/mob feeling
2) The few "moshers" just walk around pushing each other. FUCK THAT!! Back in MY day (adjusts dentures, waggles accusing finger) people were all over the place bouncing off each other, jumping around and shit... usually IN TIME to the music. Jesus fucking christ what the fuck happened? Is it because these californians smoke too much fucking weed? Or do things suck back east too?

yeah, moshing doesn't appeal to me at all, especially when the music the band is playing is good. If the band sucks, then yeah you can get aggressive, no one cares. but if the band is good, there's people trying to listen to the music and watch what the guitarist is doing; they shouldn't be trying to avoid getting elbowed.
some people come to shows just to mosh. that's dumb. if you wanna be a fuckass, go be one somewhere else.

ahahaha where you just standing their at the cannibal corpse concert?? When Vile played they deidcated a song to me and my friend cause we where the only fuckers moshing. I go to concert for the music which i can hera just fine, im not much of a fan of watching people play guitars and headbang for 30 mins or however long their set is. But im not and asshole and if someone dosent want to mosh thats fine.. i hate it when assholes just started moshing with everyone.

Yeh, Vile's singer was funny as hell. Too bad not even half of the audience was in the damn venure by the time they ended. They put on a great show porbably my favorite besides cannibal corpse.

I enjoy a moshpit now and then, but its quite annoying that moshers always seem te drag people in their vicinity with them, or that you have to watch the pit instead of the band if you dont want to get hurt.

I don't have a problem with moshpits, you don't have to get involved if you don't want to. I used to mosh when I was younger, but I'm a bit bored with it. I prefer to watch. Also glasses are fucking expensive, and if I'm not wearing them, I can't see much. So its fuzzy sight moshing or clear watching.
To be honest, I don't really feel the need to prove my masculinity. If people bump into me, I just push them away. Doesn't bother me, and presumably doesn't bother them.
Moshpits in England are common. Especially the circle pits.
