wanted: Jacksonville drummer
I hate posting stuff like this just because it annoys me that i've got to. but is anyone a drummer that lives in Jax FL? or do you know one who does? me and my pal are trying to get a "group" together so we can play concerts, make albums and most importantly, get out of Jax.

Florida's the birth place of death metal im sure thiers some kick ass drummers around. Maybe if you place a classfied in a local music magazine. I doubt theirs any from jacsonville florida on this forum... hell half of them dont even live in america.

I have always had a hard time keeping a good metal drummer. I always lost them to drug rehab ( I don't like drugs for just this reason ) or pond shops  It always seems the really good ones are taken by joke bands too. |

That' so true. It's nearly impossible to find a decent drummer. We've been trying for a year or so, and we're still stuck with a goddamn computer to do the job, which sucks a lot. |

Speaking on drum machines, i was watching VH1s 50 most annoyingly bad songs... and the song "Cotton Eyed Joe" by Rednex was one of them. One comedian commented:
"This song sounds like something a redneck would make if you gave him crystal meth and a drum machine." Hahahah. Totally irrelavent.

I'm glad the other guitar in my band has a brother who plays drums, and is actually good(we play Dying Fetus). We would be lost without him since our area sucks for musicians period let alone metal ones.

Well we have a good drummer (he dresses like a prep and shit, and listen's to ALOT of different music, from death metal to fuckin pop shit) he isent exactly good but he can play blast beats fuckin great and hes fast as fuck with double bass. He knows the band he's in is a death metla band too... and he dosent try to change that (thank god.. because were his bitch basically... hes the only decent drummer around here)

My drummer and I decided not to pursue our doom metal project right now.
He kicks massive ass, but It'll be better in the longrun if we just stick to stoner metal (i.e. Kyuss) for now.
